■ Safety Precautions Please read this guidebook carefully and follow the instruction. 1. To avoid any damage or malfunction of the unit do not drop unit from high places. 2. Keep away unit from humidity, water and any other liquid. And if the unit is exposed by water, moisture and other liquid directly, then don’t operate it normally to avoid any electrical shock, explosion and damage of the unit. 3. Do not place or keep the unit near the heat sources such as direct sun light, radiators, stoves or other apparatus which produce heat. It may cause explosion, degrade of performance and reduce battery life. 4. Do not modify, repair & disassemble unit at discretion. (Especially battery: It may cause an explosion.) 5. Do not place the heavy objects on the unit. 6. Use only supplied and approved charger. 7. Use soft cloth or rag to clean. Avoid using chemical solutions such as benzene and thinner. 8. Too high volume for long hours may get your hearing weaker. 9. If you keep the volume high on the move, this may cause unfortunate accidents 10. If you use the player on/in a bicycle, an auto bike, or other vehicles, this may lead to unwanted accidents. 11. Replacement or service must be done at a qualified service center or returned to the manufacturer. 12. Unplug this unit when unused for long periods of time or during lightening storms. Mobile Phone Compatibility This device is compatible to most Bluetooth mobile phones that support Bluetooth Headset and/or Hands-Free profile(s). Please make sure that your Bluetooth mobile phone has Bluetooth function by either visiting the phone manufacturer’s website or consulting the store that you purchased the phone. ■ Features This BT-1000 adopted Bluetooth spec. 1.2 so that it improves sound quality, supports fast connection to the other Bluetooth devices and enables users to pair each of different Bluetooth devices. Also, the BT-1000 supports Headset and Hands-free Profile so that users can listen to the mp3 file on the MP3 Player and talk over the telephone. This product supports stereo sound originally. However, it supports mono sounds in case corresponding devices have mono soundtracks. ■ Enclosures Player Stereo Earphone USB Cable Clip ■ Player Overview 1. LED : Indicator Light(Green/Red) 2. Connect BT-1000’s USB Port (A) to PC’s USB Port (B). 2. When charging, BT-1000 indicator light flashes Red. 3. When the Red indicator light is turned off, disconnect BT-1000’s USB Port from PC’s USB Port (B). * Recharging time It usually takes approximately 2 hours to fully recharge the BT-1000 battery. * Low Battery Warning The Red indicator light is turned on. Battery Notice 1. Over extended periods of time, battery gradually wears down and requires linger charging time. The situation is normal. Additionally, the more you talk on the phone with BT-1000, the less standby time your battery has. 2. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by incorrect type or is thrown into fire. 3. Do not store the BT-1000 in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten the life of internal electronic components, damage battery, and warp or melt certain plastics. 4. Do not store the BT-1000 in cold areas. When it warms up to the normal temperature, moisture can form inside, which may damage internal electronic circuit board. ■ How to wear the BT-1000 1. Connect neck strap to strap hole. (A->B) 2. Connect earphone to earphone jack. (A) 3. Turn BT-1000 on after pressing button. ■ Operation * To pare the BT-1000 Before you use BT-1000 for the first time, you should pair BT-1000 with the device that you want to use it with, such as a mobile phone applied Bluetooth. The following section describes how to pair BT-1000 to a typical Bluetooth phone. Ensure your BT-1000 is within 30 feet (10 meters) of the Bluetooth phone from access range. 1. Set up BT-1000 as a state of ready for registration. The Green Light and the Red Light is blinked consecutively by pressing button for at least 3 seconds and in a state of power-off. 2. Register BT-1000 referring to User’s Manual to pair 3. Enter BT-1000 PIN number “0000” on the phone. 4. When the registration is finished, then the beep sound is heard. *Connecting the BT-1000 to the Bluetooth device 1. Turn the BT-1000 on. 2. Connect the BT-1000 to the Bluetooth device referring to User’s manual. 3. When the registration is finished, then the beep sound is heard. * To power on & power off Power On : Press and hold the ( button for at least 3 seconds. (The beep sound is heard and the GREEN indicator light is turned on.) Power Off : Press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds. (The beep sound is heard and the GREEN indicator light is turned off after blinking for 2 seconds.) * To make and receive a call with BT-1000 You can place a call with your BT-1000 in these two ways: - [Dialing voice a number from the phone / last number dialing] - [Using Voice Dialing] In both cases, you must first link your BT-1000 and phone as described in “Paring the BT-1000” on page 3. 1) To dial voice a number from the phone / last number dialing Press button briefly to stop playing music during playback. Press button for at least 3 seconds in a state of ready.( The beep sound is heard two times.) To end a call, press the button briefly. The users need to press button two times according to specific types of Bluetooth devices. 2) To use Voice Dialing ① Press button to stop playing music during playback. ② Press button briefly for 2 seconds in a state of ready. (The beep sound is heard two times.) ③ Say the voice tag name. You must ensure that your Bluetooth phone support Hands-free Profile. Notice: Not all Bluetooth phones support transfer function, please refer to your phone’s manual to make sure whether your phone supports this feature. * Volume Control The BT-1000 offers 15 levels of speaker volume from 0 to 14. You can regulate the volume to the speaker in steps by adjusting Volume Up ( ) button and Volume Down ( ) button when you listen to the music or make a call. * Mute Function The BT-1000 can be muted by pressing the Volume Down ( To stop muting, press the Volume Down ( ) button for at least 3 seconds. ) button for at least 3 seconds. * To listen to MP3 music Press button for briefly in a state of ready. Thus, the Bluetooth mobile phone supporting A/V Profile can work with BT-1000 to listen MP3 music. * To stop playing the music Press button briefly during playback. * To pause the music Press button briefly during playback. * REW/FF Press button briefly during playback. To talk during playback This function is only available for connecting Bluetooth phone to Stereo Audio Out and Hands-free Profile. To make a call during playback Press button briefly to stop the music during playback. Press button for at least 3 seconds in a stat of ready. (The beep sound is heard two times.) The users need to press button two times for at lease 3 seconds according to specific types of Bluetooth devices. To talk during playback Press button. To quitting talk Press button briefly. It plays back automatically if quitting talk on the phone. ■ Troubleshooting Checklist When troubles with the player occur, please check the following troubleshooting checklist: 1. When disconnection is occurred often. - BT-1000 is within 30 feet(10 meters) of the phone for access range. - Please keep BT-1000 free from the devices propagating the electro wave because they may jam conversation - The electro wave is unstable. Use BT-1000 after moving to the other places. 2. It doesn’t play any music files. - Only MP3 file is available for playing back according to specific types of Bluetooth phone. 3. No sound while you are on the phone -Check Volume level.
