stylus pen.
The Pen Digitizer is an easy-louse dala entry device
that combines the precision control of a stylus pen with
the flexibility and comfort ol a cursor. Both the cursor
and the pen control the screen cursor.
The stylus pen lunctions like a pen or pencil and a piece
ol paper. The pen is capable of all the lunctiuns of a
mouse, but it is much more precise. Have you evertried
to write your name with a mouse? It is close to impos-
sible. but with the pen it is easy.

ably increase the flexibility and possibilities of almost
any software program that involves art, design, or

If your computer has extra COM porls, we recommend
you use COM1 or COMZ for the iablelto work oorreclly.
Also, the 940-25 pin converter only needs to be used il
your COM outlets have a 25-pin oonnscfion. ll lhis is the
case, plug the Rs-zszc data connector into me pin oon-

Before installing the driver lorthe Fen Digitizer, please
make sure you do not have a previous pen tablet or
digitizer driver in your system.
It you have previously installed a pen tablet. you must
first unplug it and delete the old drivertrom your com»
puter. There should be instructions for this in your pre-
vious tablet user gulde.
1. Turn on your computer.
2. insert the Digitizer driver CD into your CD-ROM
drive.
3. Click on the Start menu and select Run item.
a If you replaced your mouse with the
tablet, press Ctrl-Esc to open the
Start menu. Use the arrow keys to
select Run, and then press Enter.
4. in the dialog box, type D:\SEI‘UP. If your CD-
ROM has a dilterent drive letter. type that letter
instead of D: Click OK and follow the screen
prompts.
5. When finished, close all applications and restart
your computer. After restarting Windows you will
be able to use the pen to move the screen cursor
on tablet sudace.
Tensurfer is a 32 bit pen-relate applications

There are three folders inside the Tablet Propefiiesfile:
lnformatlon, Pen and Configuration
The Information folder (pictured abcve) displays the ba-
sic specifications for the Digitizer. These specifications
_ can not be changed.
(Please see next page for information on adiusling the
Tablets parameters.)

The hardware requirements for the tablet are:
' An IBMcompatible PC With 80486 CPU or higher
' Windows 95/93, NT. or higher
' A standard serial port
' At least 16 MB of DRAM
' At least 20 MB of lree hard disk space.
Buttons on the stylus pen or cursor are the same as
buttons on a mouse. The pen tip is iust like the left
button on a mouse. The button on the pen that is near
the tip corresponds to the button on the right side ol 3
mouse.The button nearthe base otthe pen isthe same
as the button in the middle ot a mouse.
An absolute coordinator means that the mgitizer corre-
sponds completely with the computer monitor,
In other words, when you touch the pen to one corner at
the tablet, the cursor on your computer monitor moves
to that same comer. it the pen is touching the middle ol
the tablet. the cursor goes to the middle of the monitor.
A relative coordinator is like a mouse. The cursor will
move in a direction lrom wherever it started from. lithe
cursor is at the bottom ol the screen and you push up
with the mouse, the cursor will move upwards

Warning: If you follow these directions, you will have to
reinstall the Mouse Tablet if you want to use it again.
For Windows 95 PnP driven
Press the Start button and select.
2. Double click the Add/Remove icon in Control
Panel.
3. Select the Pen Tablet Windows 95 Drivers V1 .00
option and click Add/Remove button,

The oP-soe has a special landscape control which
smports AutoCAD vertical made under DOS. When
installing the OP-SOG in Vlfindows. the tablet can only
work in standard horimntsl mode (the cursor is not
able to cross the lull screen when using the vertical
mode.)

"WW" "W“ button is on, the tablet functions In the default horizon-
tal mode. When the button is pressed and the light is
ott, the tablet switches to vertical mode. The tablet will
automatically switch to the horizontal mode each time
the power is turned all.
It you are using Windows, make sure that the land-
scape light is on, as well as the power light (in the top
left comer) and the cursor control light (under the
powerllght.)
