Tabletop Installation
The DIRECTV Wireless Video Bridge unit can be placed directly on a flat surface. Follow the IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS to find a proper place for the safe use of this product.
Wall Mount Installation
Two M4 x 20mm pan head screws (Thread type: Tapping) and expansion
anchors are included for wall mounting. You can call DIRECTV for detailed
information.
* Suitable masonry plugs may be required if attaching to a stone/brick wall.
To mount the unit on a wall, follow these instructions:
1. Ensure that the mounting location is free from hazards (electric
cables/wires/pipes/etc.).
2. Drill two pilot holes 26mm (about 1.0 inch) deep using a 3.6mm (about 0.14
inch) drill bit.
The two pilot holes must be level and spaced 55mm (about 2.17 inches)
apart horizontally.
When mounting on a stud partition wall, at least one of the mounting screws must be attached to a
wooden stud.
3. If using the wall mount method:
Drive the screws through the mounting plate to be fastened and into the wall. (See step 1 below).
Align the two slots at the bottom of the unit with the two pins on the
mounting plate. (See step 2 below).
Slide them until they lock in place. (See step 3 below).

CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY
You must not plug this Wireless Video Bridge into the power supply until you have connected this bridge to the other equipment in your system.
This bridge itself is designed for use only with the supplied power supply unit or a compatible power inserter.
On the power supply unit there is a label that specifies the correct AC power supply input for it. Do not connect the power supply unit to any supply other
than this.
Always connect the power cord from the power supply unit to this bridge before you insert the power supply unit into the wall socket-outlet.
To disconnect power from this bridge, always remove the power supply unit from the wall socket-outlet (i.e. not by removing the power cord from this
bridge). Therefore you must install this bridge near to the wall socket-outlet, which should be easily accessible.
If you are in any doubt about the power supply lead, its plug or its connection, consult a competent electrician.
INSTALLATION

Note to the installer
This reminder is provided to call the attention of the satellite system installer to Section 810, or the cable-TV installer to Section 820 of the National
Electrical Code (USA), which provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the
grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as is practical.
SAFETY INFORMATION
This Wireless Video Bridge has been manufactured and tested with your safety in mind. However, improper use can result in potential electric shock or fire
hazards. The enclosed RF/DC adapter is for use with the DCA2SR0-01 model only. To avoid defeating the safeguards that have been built into this bridge,
please observe the precautions discussed in this document.
Warnings on this Wireless Video Bridge
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within a triangle, is intended to alert you to the presence of uninsulated
“dangerous” voltages within this bridge’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric
shock to persons.
The exclamation point within a triangle is intended to alert you to the presence of important instructions in the
literature accompanying this bridge.
Other warnings
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover of this bridge.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside it.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
Do not perform any servicing unless you are qualified to do so. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

home, consult your dealer or local power company. If you move this bridge between locations at different temperatures, allow it to reach room temperature
before you apply power to it.
Overloading
Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords or other power outlets as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
Risk of fire or scorching
Never place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on or adjacent to this bridge.
Placement and mounting
Do not place this bridge on an unstable or uneven surface. This bridge may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to this bridge.
If you mount this bridge, for example to a wall or ceiling, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use a mounting accessory recommended by the
manufacturer.

Transporting
Move the combination of bridge and cart with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the combination
of bridge and cart to overturn.
Lightning storms
For added protection for this bridge during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and
unused for long periods of time, disconnect this bridge’s power cord (see item 12 in the
Important Safety Information). Also disconnect the satellite dish, antenna or cable system, and
telecommunication line cord, from this bridge.
Outdoor antenna grounding
Be sure that any outside satellite dish, antenna or cable system connected to this bridge is
grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and static charges that have
built up. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code (USA), ANSI/NFPA 70 provides information
with regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in
wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge
unit, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for the grounding electrode. See the diagram
for installation reference.(Example antenna grounding as per National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70).
Replacement parts
When replacement parts are required, be sure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or that have the same
characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards. See also item 13 in the Important Safety
Instructions.
Safety check
Upon completion of any servicing or repairs to this bridge, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that this bridge is in its proper
