The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding - type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. Power Press to turn the speaker off or on. POWER Menu Press to move through the menus on a docked iPod or iPhone. MUTE MENU Arrows (▲▼) Press to navigate menus on a docked iPod or iPhone. ENTER Enter Press to select menu items on a docked iPod or iPhone. Video Press to switch to Video out mode and view video on a connected television. SOURCE VOL VIDEO REPEAT Repeat Press to cycle through repeat options on a docked iPod or iPhone. SHUFFLE Source Press to switch between iPod and iPhone, Line In and Bluetooth mode. Skip/Search Press to skip between tracks. Press and hold to search through an individual track (applies to docked iPod/iPhone only). Play/Pause Press to play or pause a docked iPod/iPhone or a connected Bluetooth device. Volume Press to adjust the volume. Shuffle Press to cycle through shuffle options on a docked iPod or iPhone. Use the included spacers as needed to fit your iPod or iPhone into the dock. 2. Connect the iPod or iPhone to the connector inside the Dock for iPod and iPhone. 3. When the speaker is plugged in, using AC power, the docked iPod or iPhone will charge. 2.8 MM 1.2 MM Rotating Dock The dock will rotate 90˚ to the right or left. Do not attempt to rotate the dock further than 90˚ to either side to avoid damaging the speaker. Playing a Docked iPod or iPhone 1. Follow the instructions for Docking an iPod or iPhone. 2. Press the Source/Power button to switch to iPod mode. 3. Press the Play/Pause button on the remote or on the docked iPod or iPhone to begin playing the docked iPod or iPhone. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5MM Audio Input on the speaker and an audio output on an MP3 player or other audio source. 2. Press the Source/Power button to switch to Line In mode. 3. Use the native controls on the connected MP3 player or other audio source to play and control audio played through the speaker. 1. Connect the RCA composite video cable to the Composite Video Output on the speaker and a composite video input on a television. 2. Press the Video button on the remote to switch to video out mode. Note: Some older model iPods may require you to adjust the TV OUT settings on the docked iPod to OK. 3. Videos played from the docked iPod or iPhone will now play on the connected television. 10 ISPB592-682-01-IB-0802.indd 10 8/2/2012 2:12:12 PM Bluetooth Pairing a Bluetooth Device Playing Audio Wirelessly 1. Power on the unit by pressing the Power button. 1. Follow the instructions for Pairing a Bluetooth Device. 2. Press the Source/Power button to switch to Bluetooth mode. 2. 3. Press the Pair button. Use the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device to select a track. 4. The Pairing Indicator will flash blue quickly. 3. To play, pause or skip the selected track, use the native controls on the connected Bluetooth Device or press the Play/Pause button. 4. Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through the speakers. When pairing, remain within 3 feet of the unit. 5. Using the native controls on your Bluetooth device, select the “ISBP592” in your Bluetooth settings to pair. If your device requests a password, enter the default password “ 0 0 0 0 ”. 1. Follow the instructions in Pairing a Bluetooth Device. 2. When a call is received, a ringtone will sound through the speakers. When successfully paired and connected, the Pairing Indicator will display a solid blue light and a beep will sound from the unit. 3. Press the Talk/End button to accept the call or accept the call with the native controls on the connected device. After initial pairing, the unit will stay paired unless unpaired manually by the user or erased due to a reset of the device. 4. The incoming call received through the device will now be heard through the speakers. 5. To end the call, press the Talk/End button or end the call using the native controls on the connected device. Refer to the user’s manual for your specific device for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices. 6. Using the Speakerphone If your device should become unpaired, follow the above directions again.
