8. RETURNING THE FD-30 PIN PAD
If you need to return your PIN Pad device for service or replacement, contact your
service provider or sales representative for instructions.
Note: Do not try to service, repair or adjust the PIN Pad device in any way; doing so
will void your warranty.
Caution: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Please
dispose of used battery according to the instructions.

pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection

INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. CONNECTING THE FD-30
PIN PAD TO A PC/TERMINAL
The FD-30 device can be used to connect with PC/
terminal. It supports RJ12 offset, USB interfaces via
different cable types such as RJ12 offset and standard
USB via mini din type connector.
Input voltage/current: 5V/400mA(USB) or
12V/200mA(RJ12 offset)
Operating Temperature: 0 ~50℃℃
Note: Turn off or unplug the PC/terminal whenever
you connect or disconnect the PIN Pad. Be sure the
PC/terminal is not processing data when powered off.
2. FD-30 PIN PAD DEVICE

ETUP
The FD-30 device displays the message READY FOR
SALE. This ready message indicates the device is ready
for use.
3. CONTACTLESS READER
Aim the center position of the card to the contactless
logo, and watch the LEDs for read status. A green light
represents a good read.

4. MAGNETIC STRIPE READER
Find the card reader slot on top of PIN Pad.
User can swipe magnetic card in both direction, left to
right or opposite. (Figure 6)
5. USING THE PIN PAD
To complete a transaction, the PIN pad device displays
the following prompt, ENTER PIN. Key in your PIN
and press [ENTER]. The device returns to the ready
message after it successfully receives the PIN entry.
Note: If the PIN is entered incorrectly, press [CANCEL]
and re-enter it.
6. CLEANING
Periodically clean the PIN Pad device with a clean cloth
dampened with water and a mild soap or cleaner. Do
not use harsh chemicals.
7. MAINTENANCE
Stringent quality-control standards are followed in
manufacturing all PIN Pad devices. Numerous tests are
performed on each unit before leaving the factory to
ensure quality and reliability.
