CONTACTLESS READER MODULE XCE_C150S INSTALLATION GUIDE MODEL:xCE_C150S 1. CONTENTS IN THE BOX xCE_C150S(Figure 1) Overlay stickers (Figure 2) – Portrait (A) and Landscape (B) Select the desired overylay sticker, peel the back tape and apply the overlay on the front surface of xCE_C150S (Figure 3) Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 2. CABLE INTERFACES xCE_C150S comes with 3 types of cables: a) RS232 interface (DB9 connector) (Figure 4) – xCE_C150S is powered by power adapter. b) USB interface (Figure 5) – xCE_C150S is powered by host through USB. c) RS232 interface (Figure 6) – xCE_C150S is powered by host. Figure 4 Figure 5 Figure 6 3. SETTING CONNECTION USB interface: Plug the USB connector into any of the USB port of the host. RS232 interface: Connect the RS232 connector with the COM port of the host. 4. INSTALLING THE Battery Install Battery: Insert battery into battery slot with POSITIVE (+) pole face downward. Remove Battery: Pull the ejector (A). (Figure 7) Figure 7 5. INSTALLING THE SAM CARD Loosen the screw and open the SAM gate (Figure 8), insert the SAM-1(Figure 8-1)& SAM-2(Figure 8-2) cards in the slot. Figure 8 5. Figure 8-1 Figure 8-2 USING CONTACTLESS CARD READER After xCE_C150S is powered on, xCE_C150S is ready for card reading when 1st LED on the bezel starts to blink. Place contactless card close to contactless logo Figure 9 to read card (Figure 9) CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS Suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations, or nonhazardous locations only. Device must be installed with/on an end use enclosure, with terminations/connections protected and suitable for Class I, Division 2, following acceptable wiring methods based on installation location and electrical code.
