Press the microphone plug firmly into thisjuck until it locks. To remove the micro-
phone, press the lever protruding from the bottom side of the plug while pulling it
out.
(D MON| Button & Indicator
This button selects the squelch (receiver muting) mode. When the indicator is off,
tone (or coded) squelch is active. When you press MON| momentarily, the “MON|“
indicator blinks (4 channel version) or ii smull Dot [0] will he displayed (48/120
ehunncl versions); in this condition, only the “ oise" squelch is active, and any stri-
tmn which transmits on the channel will he heard. Pressing MON| and holding [I m
for more than L. amid. on the other hand. will open the squelch completely, and
background noise will he heard if no signal is present (both the small Dot and the
"BUSY" indicator will uppeztt on the 48.42“ Channel versions, While "MON|" will

How to Select Channels to be Scanned
If your radio has been configured by your Dculcr to allow you. the operator, to make

How to Change the “User Pr rtly” Channels
Your Dealer mny huve configured your rudio so its to allow you to make changes to the
“User Priority" Channels (the channels you designate to be scanned more frequently than
the others). The selection process is almost identical to that used for making changes to
the User Sczm List,

Turn the transceiver OFF by rotating the VOLUME/POWER control fully counter-
clockwise into the click-sloth
Press and hold in the SEL/PRI button; while holding this button in, rotate the
VOLUME/POWER control clockwise out ofrhe click—«op to turn the radio on.

15.21 INFORMATION TO USER.
The users manual or instruction manual for an intentional
radiator shall caution the user that changes or modifications not
expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could
void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
15.27(a) SPECIAL ACCESSORIES.
Equipment marketed to a consumer must be capable of complying
with the necessary regulations in the configuration in which the
equipment is marketed. where special accessories, such as shielded
cables and/or special connectors are required to enable an
unintentional or intentional radiator to comply with the emission
limits in this part, the equipment must be marketed with, i.e.
shipped and sold With, those special accessories. However, in lieu
of shipping or packaging the special accessories with the
unintentional or intentional radiator, the responsible party may
employ other methods of ensuring that the special accessories are
provided to the consumer, without additional charge.
Information detailing any alternative method used to supply
the special accessories for a grant of equipment authorization or
retained in the verification records, as appropriate. The party
responsible for the equipment, as detailed in § 2.909 of this
chapter, shall ensure that these special accessories are provided
with the equipment. The instruction manual for such devices shall
include appropriate instructions on the first page of text
concerned with the installation of the device that these special
accessories must be used with the device. It is the responsibility
of the user to use the needed special accessories supplied with the
equipment.
