CAUTION

e 2-Band Equalizer (Bass, Treble)

Always follow the basic precautions listed below to avoid the possibility of physical injury to
you or others, or damage to the instrument or other property. These precautions include, but
are not limited to, the following:

Level adjustments for the low frequency (Bass) and high frequency (Treble) ranges.

r Mic Type Switch (Mic. type 1/2)
Selects the simulated mic type used in the SRT function. Each press of the switch (Blend
knob) toggles between Mic. type 1: Condenser and Mic. type 2: Ribbon.

t Blend Control
Controls the mix level of signals received from the pickup and the simulated mic. Rotate fully
to the left for 100% pickup signal and fully to the right for 100% simulated mic signal.

y AFR (Auto Feedback Reduction) Switch
If you experience problem feedback while performing, follow the AFR setting
instructions below to effectively control the feedback.

1. When feedback occurs, press the AFR switch (Bass control knob) after all sound other than
the feedback has been muted.

* Yamaha cannot be held responsible for damage caused by improper use or modifications
to the instrument, or data that is lost or destroyed.
* Information on the battery can be found in the section at the end of this sheet.
* Please read the instruction manual for the external audio device such as a guitar amplifier,
etc., prior to use.

3. Pressing this switch when the AFR system is active (w LED is lit green) switches the AFR
function OFF. Alternatively, switch off the power (unplug cable from output jack) to cancel all
notch filters.

2. The system automatically detects the frequency causing the feedback and applies a –12dB
notch filter.
* The system may not be able to detect the problem frequency if two or more sounds
are present at the same time.

u Sound Hole Cover (included)
Inserting the sound hole cover into the sound hole effectively reduces feedback.

Replacing the Batteries
q Slide the tab on the endpin section in the direction indicated by the arrow in the diagram
below to release the lock, then pull out the battery holder.
w Insert two AA batteries making sure that the battery poles are properly aligned with the
polarity markings on the battery holder.
e Slide the battery holder back into the endpin section until it locks.
* When using nickel metal-hydride batteries, take care not to damage the battery
casing or poles when installing and removing the batteries.

* For best performance, we recommend the use of alkaline or nickel-metal hydride
batteries. When using nickel-metal hydride batteries, please follow the instructions in
the manual provided with the batteries.
