Energy Recovery Core
operation system

The illustrations show the operation of a Source1
ERV system. Outside air is pushed through the
heat exchanger, which acts as a noise attenuator.
This process is very silent and provides you with
better home comfort.
The recirculation mode takes already-heated
ambient air from a selected area, recirculates
it through the unit’s filters, and distributes
throughout your home. This option enables the
unit to have an auxiliary air supply during the
system’s defrost period in winter and offers you
better air quality without unpleasant odors.

The defrost energy in controlled
by the outdoor air temperature.
The motor speed essentially
increases as outdoor
temperature drops to provide
increased defrost capacity. For
instance, at 23˚F the defrost
mode will function at low speed.
This technology reduces energy
usage by eliminating unnecessary
defrost energy during milder days and
offers a more silent operation.
