Test model: ZOZtheBOT ZOZtheBOT User Guide Before using your robot: Read all of the warnings and operating instructions in order to avoid personal injury or property damage. Unpack Carefully remove everything from the packaging. Keep all packaging materials and documentation. Download App Apple Phones (iOS): App Store Android Phones (Android): Google Play Power On Turn on your ZOZtheBOT on by momentarily pressing the on/off button. Sync Synchronize the app on your phone with your ZOZtheBOT via the Bluetooth™ connection. Orient Set your ZOZtheBOT in a position such that the on/off button is facing you. Do not change your body position! Ready Hold the phone in a horizontal position to stop all motion of your ZOZtheBOT. Run Tilt the phone in the direction you want your ZOZtheBOT to move. The more you tilt the phone, the faster your ZOZtheBOT will go. Press the “BOOST” button on the phone app to get additional speed for a short duration Press the “ROTATE CW” button on the phone app to rotate your ZOZtheBOT clockwise. Press the “ROTATE CCW” button on the phone app to rotate your ZOZtheBOT counter-clockwise. Charge When the batteries are low or between uses, charge your ZOZtheBOT with the included USB cord. The USB connector on your ZOZtheBOT is under the Dome Module. Remove the Dome Module by unscrewing it. LEDs flash red while charging, green when charged. You can also use the charger module (sold separately). Run Some More! Play games and have fun! Warning – Safety and Handling ZOZtheBOT is not suitable for children under the age of 8. Do not operate your robot if it has been damaged or broken. Do not attempt to clean your robot with flammable liquids or solvents (may ruin your robot or cause a fire). Do not place heavy objects on your robot (may cause damage and/or component failure). Do not expose your robot to water (may cause short circuit and/or render it inoperable). Warning – Reduce Risk To reduce the risk of personal injury or property damage, do not attempt to open or remove any covers – there are no user serviceable parts or components inside. Warning – Small Parts Keep ZOZtheBOT and any accessories away from small children and animals – they contain small parts that may present a choking hazard. If the product is broken, collect all parts and store them in a safe place away from small children. Warning – Flashing Lights A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure or blackout when exposed to certain visual images including flashing lights or light patterns (like watching video or playing video games). If you have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing with robots. If you experience any symptoms such as disorientation, headaches, blackouts, lightheadedness, twitching, convulsions or seizures, immediately stop playing and consult a doctor. Warning – Battery The robot contains one or more lithium batteries which are extremely hazardous and can cause serious injuries to persons or property if removed or improperly used. The battery(s) cannot be replaced. If the battery is exposed or damaged, never touch or contact any liquid from the battery to avoid fire, shocks or burns. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with large amounts of cold water and consult a doctor. To avoid fire or explosion, never put the robot in water, a pressurized container or microwave oven. Lithium batteries can be lethal if ingested – see a doctor immediately if ingestion is suspected. You are solely liable for ensuring that the lithium battery is used correctly (charging, discharging, storage, etc.). Warnings (Continued): Warning – Charging Only charge your robot with the supplied cables and components. If smoke, noise or unusual smell is noticed during use or charging, immediately disconnect it from any electrical source and turn off all sources of flame or heat. Charge only under adult supervision and away from flammable materials such as carpet or wooden flooring. Regularly inspect the power source for damage to the plug, cord or components and do not use if any is detected. Do not charge robot while unattended, hot, near conducting surfaces or under a cover of any kind. When fully charged, disconnect all power cables. LEDs on bottom of ZOZtheBOT flash red when charging, flash green when fully charged. Warning – Operating Temperature Do not exceed the operating temperature of 0 to 30 degrees Celsius (32 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit). Doing so may increase the risk of fire or damage to the robot. Warning – California Prop 65 This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Warranty: Before returning any product for any reason, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained by contacting ZOZ Robotics, Inc. via our website (www.zozrobotics.com) or our email (support@zozrobotics. com). When requesting an RMA, you declare if you are requesting an exchange, refund or repair. After issuance of the RMA number, the product must be received by ZOZ Robotics, Inc. within ten (10) days. The RMA number must be included both on the inside and outside of the packaging used to return the product. An address for return shipment will be included with your RMA number – only this address is acceptable – do not ship to any other address!! You are responsible for all shipping charges and associated risks such as loss or damage to the product during transit. Product must be packaged in such a manner (bubble wrap, cushioning, packaging peanuts, etc.) as to not allow damage during shipment. You will be required to provide proof of purchase and/or product registration in accordance with applicable law in order to obtain warranty services from ZOZ Robotics, Inc. Warranty services are non-transferrable and only products purchased by the original owner/purchaser in the country of purchase are eligible for warranty services. Thirty Days Thirty days from the date of purchase or shipment by ZOZ Robotics, Inc. – we offer a full refund or exchange of the product through our Return/Exchange Policy: If within thirty (30) days of product purchase or shipment you are not fully satisfied, it may be returned for an exchange or 100% refund of the original purchase price. The original purchase price does not include shipping and handling charges, gift wrap fees, taxes, duties, etc. The product and all materials associated with the product (packaging, boxes, bags, manuals, accessories, cables, etc.) must be returned with the product in order to qualify. Warranty (Continued): One Year One year from the date of purchase or shipment by ZOZ Robotics, Inc. – we offer coverage of the product through our Limited Warranty: ZOZ Robotics, Inc. warrants the product against defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for a period of one year from the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”).
