Note:Thewirelessnetworkscopeisaffectedbythenumberofwalls,wallthickness,walllocations,wallmaterials,ceilings,andotherobjects.Meanwhile,thema-terialtypesandbackgroundRFnoisealsoaffectthewirelessnetwork.Tomaximizethewirelessnetworkscope,complywiththefollowingmethods:1.ReducethenumberofwallsandceilingsbetweentheZXHNH389Aandothernetworkdevices.Eachwallorceilingreducesthewirelessnetworkscopeby1to30meters.ProperlyplacetheZXHNH389Atoreducethenumberofwallsandceilings.2.Complywiththestraightlineprinciplebetweennetworkdevices.At45degreeangle,awallwiththethicknessbeinghalfameterisasthickasonemeter.Toreceivemoresignals,devicesneedtobeplacedtoenablethesignalstobetransmitteddirectlythroughwallsorceilings.3.Thewirelessnetworkscopeisalsoaffectedbybuildingmaterials.Thescopeisaffectedbysolidmetaldoorsoraluminumstuds.Trytoplaceaccessingpoints,wirelessrouters,andcomputers,andthensignalscanbetransmittedthroughdrywallsoropenchannels,forexample,FRPproducts,metalproducts,insulatedwalls,lingcabinet,bricks,andconcreteweakenthewirelesssignals.4.MakesurethattheZXHNH389AwiththeWiFifunctionkeepsfarawayfromthefollowingdevices:KeepatleasttwometersfarawayfromelectricaldevicesorcomponentsthatgenerateRFnoise.Signalsaregreatlyweakenedorevencompletelydis-appearedbya2.4GHzwirelessmobileorX-10,forexample,amicrowaveoven,homesecuritysystem,bluetoothdevice,oricebox.
4Troubleshooting�AllindicatorsareOffwhentheZXHNH389AequipmentispoweredOn.FirstmakesurethatyouhaveinsertedthepoweradapteroftheZXHNH389Aintoaworkingpowersocket.IftheindicatorsarestillOffaftercon-rmationoftheaboveitems,maybethehardwareisdamaged.Youmaycontactlocaloperatorformaintenance.Neverdismantletheequipmentbyyourself.�Sometimes,theDSLuserscannotaccesstotheInternetnormallyFirstcheckwhethertheZXHNH389Aisinthenormalstate(Checkthein-dicatorsaccordingtothisusermanual).Ifyes,thecomputerorapplicationnetworkmaybefaulty.ThisisunrelatedwithDSL.IftheZXHNH389Aisabnormal,checkthestatusofindicatorsonebyonetoremovethefault.Itissuggestedtocheckthefollowingitemsbeforeseekinghelpfromoper-ators:i.TheDSLtelephonecableconnectorsareproper.ii.TheDSLisawayfromthepowercableandlarge-powerelectronicde-vices.iii.NotelephoneextensionsandfaxmachinesareconnectedbetweentheDSLincominglineandsplitter.iv.Thesplitterhasbeeninstalledcorrectly.v.TheZXHNH389Ahasgoodheatdissipationratio.
�WhatarereasonsforDSLsynchronizationfailure(alsoreferredaslinkdownorlinkestablishmentfailure)?IftheDSLsuddenlyfailstobesynchronized(linkdown)duringapplication,usuallytheLinkindicatorontheZXHNH389AwillnotbeOn.Itissuggestedtocheckthefollowingstepsonebyone:i.Firstcheckthequalityofincomingcablesandincomingcableconnectors.ii.InstalltheZXHNH389Acorrectlybasedontheuserguidance.Minimizethenumberoftaps.iii.CheckwhetherthetelephonecablesandDSLareingoodconnectionorwhetherthetelephonecablesarenormal.iv.TrytodisconnectthesplitteranddirectlyconnecttheZXHNH389Atotheincomingusercableend.Ensuretheproblemisnotduetoimproperinstallationorincominguserlinequality.IftheDSLcanbesynchronizedagain,itmeansthatinstallationoftheincomingusersideisimproper.Pleasereinstallitaccordingtotheuserguide.v.IftheDSLstillfailstobesynchronizedwhentheZXHNH389Aiscon-nectedtotheincomingusercableend,contacttheoperatorstocheckwhetheritisduetoexternallinefailureorZXHNH389Afailure.vi.Ifthesplitterproblemisdetermined,calltheoperatorformaintenanceorreplacement.vii.Iftheproblemisduetotheendofceequipmentfailure,calltheoperatortoconrmit.viii.ToolongconnectioncablebetweenthesplitterandZXHNH389Amaycausepooranti-interferenceperformanceandsynchronizationdifculty.Therefore,theconnectioncableshouldnotbetoolong.�ThegreenLANindicatoronthefrontpanelisoffafterthedeviceispoweredon.�ThecorrespondingLANlinkisnotestablished.�TheEthernetcableisnotcorrectlyconnectedtotheLANinterface.�ThenetworkdeviceconnectedtotheLANinterfaceisnotpoweredon.5FCCStatementThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsarede-signedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinares-identialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradio
frequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstruc-tions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstalla-tion.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthefol-lowingmeasures:�Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.�Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.�Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiverisconnected.�Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.FCCRadiationExposureStatementThisdevicecomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforanun-controlledenvironmentanditalsocomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRFRules.Thisequipmentmustbeinstalledandoperatedinaccordancewithprovidedinstructionsandtheantenna(s)usedforthistransmittermustbeinstalledtoprovideaseparationdistanceofatleast20cmfromallpersonsandmustnotbeco-locatedoroperatinginconjunctionwithanyotherantennaortransmitter.End-usersandinstallersmustbeprovidewithantennainstallationinstructionsandconsiderremovingtheno-collocationstatement.ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRules.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:1.Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference.2.Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesiredoperation.Note:Anychangesormodicationsnotexpresslyapprovedbythepartyresponsibleforcompliancecouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatetheequipment.Operationintheband5150-5250MHzisonlyforindooruse.FCC-PART68ThisequipmentcomplieswithPart68oftheFCCrulesandtherequirementsadoptedbytheACTA.Onthebottomofthisequipmentisalabelthatcontains,amongotherinformation,aproductidentierintheformatUS:
