Charging the Speaker:
NOTE: Make sure the Play X Speaker is fully charged before use.
1. Plug the USB end of the included charge cable into a powered USB port, such as a
computer, laptop or USB AC adapter (not included).
2. Plug the Micro-USB end of the cable into the charge port labeled 5V IN located on the
back of the speaker.
3. The LED indicator light located on the front of the speaker will turn red. Once the
speaker is fully charged, the LED indicator light will turn off.
Connecting a Device via Bluetooth (First Time Set-Up):
1. Switch the Power Button located on the back of the speaker from [OFF] to [ON]. You will
hear a sound and the LED indicator light on the front will turn green.
NOTE: Once you turn the speaker on, the speaker will try and pair with a Bluetooth device.
The Bluetooth LED located on the back of the speaker will rapidly flash blue.
2. Open the settings on your smartphone, tablet or computer (Bluetooth must be enabled).
3. Select Play X from the devices list.
4. Once paired, you will hear a sound and the Bluetooth LED will slowly flash blue.
5. Volume should be adjusted from your device.
NOTE: Your device will automatically find and pair with the Play X after the initial pairing. If
your device does not automatically pair, turn off the speaker and repeat steps 1-4.
Connecting a Device via Audio Cable
1. Switch the Power Button located on the back of the speaker from [OFF] to [ON]. You will
hear a sound and the LED indicator light on the front will turn green.
2. Insert one end of the included audio cable into the AUX IN port on the back of the
speaker.
3. Insert the other end of the cable into your device.
NOTE: If an audio cable is inserted into the speaker, it will disconnect any Bluetooth
connectivity. Once the audio cable is removed from the speaker, the speaker will go into
Bluetooth pairing mode.
Troubleshooting
Issue: My speaker doesn’t turn on.
Solution: Try the following:
• Make sure that you fully charge your speaker before use.
• Make sure the Power Button on the speaker is switched to [ON].
• Make sure your volume is turned up on your device.
Issue: My speaker isn’t charging.
Solution: Make sure that the charge port on the speaker is free from dust and debris. Make sure
that you are using the charge cable that came with your speaker.
Issue: My speaker isn’t syncing to Bluetooth.
Solution: Try the following:
• Make sure that the Bluetooth setting is turned “ON” on your device.
• Check to see if another user is connected to the speaker.
• Refer to the user guide of your device for Bluetooth syncing instructions.

Incorrect use or incompatibility with your device may result in reduced battery performance
or damage to your device.
Do not attempt to disassemble product.
Store and operate between 32°F – 113°F.
Do not allow this product to have contact with liquids.
Do not place this product near a heat source or flame.

Do not throw or shake.
Do not operate if it has been subjected to shock or damage.
Do not crush or puncture the battery.
Recharge the battery every 3 months when not in use to keep battery in best condition.
Use soft cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or strong cleaning solvents.
The internal battery must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local waste
management office for information on the proper disposal or recycling.
