- Walk, never run, with the mower. Be very careful on uneven or rough ground.
- Mow across slopes, never up and down.
- Be careful when changing direction on a slope.
- Do not mow excessively steep slopes.
- Best results are achieved with dry grass. Wet grass clogs the blade and collection system.
- Grass grows at different rates. Never use the lowest cutting height for the first season cut or in drought conditions.
- Cut only about one-third of the grass height.
- Do not cut high or wet grass when mulching to ensure effective scattering. Stop the mower and clean the blade and deck after several minutes of cutting.
- Do not remove grass debris from the casing or blade by hand or foot. Use tools like a brush or broom.
Maintenance and Storage
⚠ WARNING! Before performing any maintenance or cleaning, switch off the engine and wait until the blade stops completely.
General Cleaning
Clean the lawn mower thoroughly after each use. Do not allow grass cuttings and debris to dry and harden on surfaces, as this can impair mowing operation.
Check that the grass chute is free of residue. Check the underside of the mower and blade mount. Tilt the mower onto its left side (opposite the oil filler neck) for inspection.
ⓘ NOTE: Before tilting, fully drain the fuel tank using a gasoline extraction pump. Do not tilt the mower by more than 90 degrees.

- Install the filter cartridge.
- Close the cover and secure it with the screw.
Check and Add the Engine Oil
Change the oil after the first 5 hours. Before each use, check the oil level and add oil if it's not within Min.-Max. levels.
Replacing the Blade
For safety, blade sharpening, balancing, and mounting should only be done by an authorized service workshop. Inspection is recommended once a year.
⚠ WARNING: Before removing the grass collection bag, stop the engine and wait until the blade stops completely.
⚠ WARNING: Garden gloves and a wrench (not provided) are needed to remove the blade.
ⓘ NOTE: Do not invert the mower. Tip it slightly towards the oil filler pipe and reach under the deck.
⚠ WARNING: Handle the blade with care; sharp edges cause injury. USE GLOVES. Replace the metal blade after 50 hours of mowing or 2 years, whichever is sooner.
⚠ WARNING: If the blade is cracked or damaged, replace it with a new one.
⚠ WARNING: Do not hold the blade by hand directly.
ⓘ NOTE: Maintain blade sharpness. A worn, pitted, or blunt blade should be replaced or sharpened as it affects performance.
Hold the blade and unscrew the blade bolt counterclockwise using a wrench. Remove the washer and the blade. Fit a new or resharpened blade. Place the blade on the two studs on the blade flange with angled ends pointing up towards the engine. Replace the washer and bolts. Ensure the blade is correctly located and tighten the bolt with a torque of 33-44 ft lbs (45-60 Nm). Do not overtighten. The upturn of the blade must project into the motor compartment.
