Honeywell Home HR91 Wireless Radiator Controller

Installation and Setup Overview

The HR91 is a wireless electronic radiator controller designed for use with the Honeywell Home evohome system. Follow these steps to install and connect it.

Physical Installation:

1. Ensure the HR91 is compatible with your radiator valve. The standard fitting is M30 x 1.5mm. Adapters for other valve types (e.g., RAV, RAVL, RA) may be required.

2. Remove the existing thermostatic valve head.

3. Attach the appropriate adapter if needed.

4. Mount the HR91 controller onto the valve body. Ensure it is securely attached.

5. Insert 2 x AA LR6 batteries into the HR91.

Pairing with evohome System:

1. Press and hold the [SETTINGS] button on the HR91 for 3 seconds.
2. Press the green tick ✔️.
3. Press [ADD ZONE].
4. Type a name for the new zone and press the green tick ✔️.
5. Press [RADIATOR VALVE].
6. If you want to control the zone temperature with the evohome Controller (which needs to be located in that zone), press YES. Otherwise, press NO.
7. Press the binding button on the HR91 for 5 seconds.
8. The LED on the HR91 will flash AMBER ? for up to 2 minutes while binding.
9. Successful binding is confirmed by the LED showing permanent GREEN ? for 5 seconds.
10. You should receive a SUCCESS message on the evohome Controller. If not, go back and re-bind.
11. To add another radiator controller to the same zone, press the green tick ✔️. To finish, press the red cross ❌.

Repeat these steps for each radiator controller you wish to add to the system.
