The Catchmon Go is an auto-collecting device designed to enhance the Pokémon Go gaming experience. It features an LED status light, a function key, an on/off switch, and a hanging hole. It requires two AAA alkaline batteries (not included) to be inserted into the battery compartment located in the strap.

How to Connect Catchmon Go with Phone

First-time Connection:

  1. Insert two AAA batteries and turn on Catchmon Go. The LED will flash green several times.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
  3. Open the Pokémon Go app.
  4. Navigate to 'Main Menu' within the Pokémon Go app.
  5. Click on 'Settings' in the upper right corner.
  6. Scroll down and click on 'Pokémon Go Plus'.
  7. The app will search for available devices. Click on 'Pokémon Go Plus' (or the Catchmon Go device) to start connecting.
  8. After successful connection, the device will appear as connected in the app, and the Catchmon Go LED will be purple and flashing.

Reconnecting:

If the Catchmon Go was previously connected but the signal is lost, simply click the 'Go Plus' icon at the top right of the Pokémon Go app map to reconnect. The LED will be purple and flashing when successfully reconnected.

Function and LED Light Description

Press the Catchmon Go function key to cycle through different light modes: Blue light → Green light → Purple light.

Blue Light:

  • Purpose: To unpair Catchmon Go Bluetooth.
  • To connect Catchmon Go with a new phone, first unpair the previous connection. With the LED set to blue light, long-press the button for 3 seconds to unpair.
  • Unpairing process: LED will flash blue and yellow for 30 seconds.
  • Success: Green light flashes.
  • Failure: Red light flashes.

Green Light:

  • Purpose: Notification sound switch.
  • In green light display, press the button for 3 seconds to switch sound notifications on or off.
  • Sound ON: Green light.
  • Sound OFF: Green breathing light.

Purple Light:

  • Purpose: Vibration switch.
  • In purple light display, press the button for 3 seconds to switch vibration notifications on or off.
  • Vibration ON: Purple light.
  • Vibration OFF: Purple breathing light.

Special Power-On Behavior:

When turning on Catchmon GO, press the function button first and then turn on the power switch together to disable both sound and vibration functions.

Catchmon Tips and Additional Instructions

  • PokéStop Item Limit: If your item bag is full and you cannot collect items from a PokéStop, deactivate 'Nearby PokéStop' notifications in the Go Plus settings menu within the Pokémon Go app.
  • Pokémon Catching Limit: If you are out of PokéBalls and cannot catch Pokémon, deactivate 'Nearby Pokémon' notifications in the Go Plus settings menu.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

If unable to connect with Catchmon Go, try the following steps:

  1. Delete the Pokémon Go Plus Bluetooth setting from your phone's Bluetooth menu.
  2. Go to the Pokémon Go game settings and disconnect the Pokémon Go Plus device.
  3. Unpair the Bluetooth setting directly on the Catchmon Go device (press the blue LED for 3 seconds).
  4. Turn off the Pokémon Go app and restart it.
  5. Reconnect Catchmon Go and the Pokémon Go App following the initial setup instructions.

Note: Pokémon Go app, Android, and iOS system upgrades may cause connection issues. Multiple Catchmon devices in close proximity can also cause Bluetooth interference.

Power Consumption and Sleep Mode

Catchmon Go consumes very little power and features power-saving and sleep mode functions. The Pokémon Go app will automatically disconnect from Catchmon Go every hour. If not reconnected within 10 minutes, Catchmon Go will enter sleep mode. Players can press the Go Plus connection icon in the app at any time to automatically wake up Catchmon Go and reconnect. When changing batteries, Catchmon Go retains all settings in memory, so a reset is not necessary.
