Quick Start Guide
Knowing Your Tablet
The Scepter 8 Tablet features several key components:

1.1 Keys Function
Key | Function |
Power button | Short press to sleep/wake up, long press to startup and shutdown. |
Volume + (up) | Increase the volume |
Volume - (down) | Decrease the volume |
HOME button (home) | Click it in any interface will return to main interface. |
Back button (back) | Click it in any interface will return to previous menu. |
Setting button | Display recently browsed history; double click this button, you can switch between the last two applications. |
1.2 Home Page
The main interface can be customized. Long press on a blank area to bring up options to set the wallpaper.
Picture 1.2-1 shows the default home screen with app icons for Google, Google Go, Assistant, and Play Store. It also displays navigation buttons at the bottom: Back, Home, and Settings.
1.3 Startup and Shutdown
Startup
Long press the POWER key for three seconds to initiate the startup sequence. The system will enter the screen lock status, requiring you to unlock it.
Shutdown
- Long press the POWER button to display the shutdown window.
- The shutdown window offers three options: Power off, Restart, and Screenshot mode.
- Clicking the screenshot option is the final step in that process.
1.4 Quick Setting
A swipe-down gesture from the top of the screen reveals nine shortcut icons, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Auto-rotate. Within the full Quick Settings list, you can tap the edit button to rearrange or replace these tiles. The available optional extras include Hotspot, Data Saver, and Invert Colors. Developers can create custom Quick Settings tiles for their apps, adding more functionality.
Picture 1.4-1 illustrates the edit screen for Quick Settings, showing rearrangeable and addable tiles.
Picture 1.4-2 shows the notification panel with quick settings toggles and an Android Setup notification indicating that app updates are ready and require a network connection.
