Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer at our Monona, Iowa facility. Alternatively, this position may reside at our corporate office in New Albany, Ohio. In this role, the incumbent will: Be responsible for identifying sources of supply for Electrical Systems componentry and obtaining & negotiating supplier quotes, delivery terms, and payment terms and making sourcing recommendations. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery & procurement agreements with suppliers. Support engineering & sales in identifying sources of supply and obtaining manufacturing specifications. Identify alternate sources of supply for cost reduction opportunities & make proposals with all supporting documentation strategy to management. Vendor reduction Support CVG's inventory turns goals through negotiations with suppliers. Ability to work extended hours on little notice Ability to work under tight timelines while juggling multiple tasks Supports the organization's efforts toward continuous improvement Supports the organization's goals and values Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service Requirements: Business or technical degree specializing in procurement or Supply Chain management with 2+ years' experience in a technical purchasing or engineering role within an electrical mechanical componentry or harness manufacturing market. We will alco accept a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2+ plus years' of experience within a harness or electrical mechanical componentry environment in an engineering or purchasing role OR 3 plus years' experience as a Buyer or Sourcing agent in a similar industry. Overall strong Microsoft Office & Excel Skills Experience in a MRP / ERP environment Ability to read & interpret customer and supplier component specifications / prints.
