Technical Specifications

The Squidlock system unlocks the full performance of FOX DPS shocks, allowing selection from three positions: Open, Medium, and Firm, enabling the bicycle to adapt to any terrain. Squidlock provides access to the intermediate position, maximizing the potential of the DPS technology. It also allows access to an intermediate position on the compression settings of FOX forks with GRIP cartridges (Performance Series).

FOX forks with FIT4 cartridges (Factory Series) offer two positions (Firm and Open). The Open position's compression setting can be tuned manually using the black dial on the top of the right leg. If the description of a FOX fork with FIT4 cartridge (Factory Series) specifies "2Pos", it means that when Squidlock is in its middle position (DPS shock intermediate compression setting), the fork will remain in Open mode, but the compression setting can still be adjusted manually with the black dial.

Squidlock is also compatible with Push-to-Lock suspensions. However, its operation may not be fully optimized for these cartridges, potentially resulting in a heavier lever action. For these suspensions, the lever action will be reversed. Compatible bicycles originally specified with Push-to-Lock from the factory include:

For models prior to 2018 and not listed, Orbea cannot guarantee Squidlock compatibility.

Assembly Options

The Squid Lock system can be configured in several ways:

1. FORK+SHOCK+DROPPER REMOTE
2. FORK+SHOCK REMOTE
3. DROPPER SEATPOST REMOTE

Operation

The Squid Lock remote controls the suspension lockout and dropper post. It features a lever for the dropper seatpost and a main lever for actuating the fork and shock compression (3 positions).

Assembly and Cable Tension Adjustment

Suspension Cable Tension Assembly and Adjustment

Follow these steps to install and adjust the cables for the fork and shock remote:

1. Install the 4mm Jagwire metal ferrules on the shock and fork outer cable housings.
2. Begin by setting the bolts flush with the inside face of the remote mechanism.
3. Install both cables, ensuring their ends are fully seated in the lever's housing. Secure the other end of each cable to the respective compression adjuster on the fork and shock, removing any slack. Ensure the cables do not cross in the designated groove.
4. Use the adjuster screws to remove any remaining slack and make fine adjustments to the cable tension.

Dropper Seatpost Cable Tension Assembly and Adjustment

To adjust the dropper seatpost cable tension:

• Adjust the cable tension using the barrel adjuster located on the elbow piece.
• Secure the cable using the grubscrew.
• Ensure the cable end is properly seated in its housing under the lever.

Warranty

All OC COMPONENTS are covered by a commercial warranty against manufacturing or conformity defects for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. Wearable components are not covered by this warranty.

To make a warranty claim, take your components to an Orbea distributor along with the original proof of purchase.
