Charging Guide
Charging Guide Welcome Thank you for purchasing the battery charger with FLO TV™. Now you can watch your favorite shows on your iPhone® or iPod touch®. You’ll also receive extra battery life with the rechargeable 1350 mAh battery. Features 1. Slide the switch on the side and watch live mobile TV on your iPhone or iPod touch — get live sports, breaking news, kids’ entertainment, and hundreds of your favorite shows on the go. 2. The battery charger with FLO TV™ fully charges your iPhone or iPod touch — so you get more than 5 hours of viewing time. 3. Internal antenna means no wires or rabbit ears. 4. The rechargeable lithium polymer battery has a long service life (over 500 full cycles) — with built-in short circuit, overcharge, and temperature protection. 5. Check how much battery is left with a glance at the integrated 4-light LED status indicator. Compatibility A subscription to the FLO TV™ service is required to watch live mobile TV on your iPhone or iPod touch. To subscribe or for coverage availability information, visit www.flotv.com. To complete a subscription, you will need your Device ID and Authorization Code (located on the Subscription Information Card), credit/debit card, and a valid e-mail address. This device is intended for use only with the iPhone 3GS and up, and iPod touch 3rd generation and up. Live Mobile TV Please carefully read through the Quick Start Guide before going any further. If you’ve already registered and downloaded the app, slide the switch on the side to “FLO TV,” select the “FLO” Wi-Fi network, and launch the app. Features Connect the battery charger with FLO TV™ to a power source using the included micro USB cable. It can be plugged into your computer — where it will both charge and sync your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer the same as if it were directly connected (switch on side must be in “OFF” position) — or it can be connected to any iPhone or iPod touch compatible wall-plug style power source that has a USB out, including the standard iPhone or iPod touch USB adaptor. While it’s charging, the LEDs will indicate the charge level. As the battery charger with FLO TV™ reaches a complete charge, more LEDs will become solid, until all four are solid at full charge. Charging Your iPhone or iPod touch To extend the battery life of your device, simply make sure it is connected to the battery charger with FLO TV™, and slide the switch to the charging setting (in the center, indicated by a lightning bolt icon). When the iPhone or iPod touch recognizes the battery charger with FLO TV™, a battery will appear on the screen and you will hear a chirp from the iPhone or iPod touch (it will vibrate instead if silenced). Your iPhone or iPod touch is now charging and using the power from the battery charger with FLO TV™. For optimal battery usage time from your iPhone or iPod touch, do not use the battery charger with FLO TV™ until the iPhone or iPod touch battery approaches the end of its life — near 10 or 20%. Slide the switch to charge, and watch as it powers the iPhone or iPod touch back up, providing that extra boost you need to make it through the day. Note: If you were watching the FLO TV™ service prior to using the battery, you will not receive as much power as you would if the device was fully charged. If you’d rather save your battery charger with FLO TV™ and use the iPhone or iPod touch’s own internal battery, simply slide the switch on the side to stand-by mode (indicated by the word “OFF”). If you still have charge left, slide it back on later and charging will begin immediately. Note: Your battery charger with FLO TV™ comes charged and ready-to-go. After initial use, normal charging will take only two to three hours for maximum power. To keep your battery charger with FLO TV™ operating to its fullest potential, make sure to do the following: 1. Keep the battery charger with FLO TV™ dry and away from any moisture or corrosive materials. 2. Do not wash the battery charger with FLO TV™ with harsh chemicals, soaps, or detergents. Just wipe with a soft cloth. Use compressed air to remove any accumulated dust or debris near the connectors. 3. Recharge your battery charger with FLO TV™ once every three months when not in use, and remember to charge it for one hour before putting it away for an extended period. Customer Service Web: www.flotv.com Telephone: 1-877-553-5688 FAQ What is the best method for charging my battery charger with FLO TV™? Connect the battery charger with FLO TV™ to a power source using the included micro USB cable. The USB cable can be plugged into your computer or any iPhone or iPod touch compatible wall-plug style charger with a USB output. How many charge cycles do you get from the battery? The battery charger with FLO TV™ is rechargeable for over 500 full cycles. Partial cycles don’t count as full, so you could, for example, charge 10% of the way 10 times before it counts as a complete cycle. What are the benefits of switching the battery charger with FLO TV™ to standby mode (OFF)? Using the stand-by switch will give you even more total battery life — your iPhone or iPod touch will consume more battery if the battery charger with FLO TV™ is in charging mode constantly.
