INSTALLATION
Mounting the Main Unit
On a Shelf
You can use the cradle stand to install the main unit on a shelf.
Insert the head of the cradle stand into the slots in the soundbar.

You can mount the main unit on a wall.
Attach the supplied wall mount sheet to the wall as horizontally as

Caution!
•
Do not hang onto the installed main unit and avoid any impact to the main
unit.
•
Secure the main unit firmly to the wall so that it does not fall off. If the main
unit falls off, it may result in an injury, or in damage to the product.
•
When the main unit is installed on a wall, ensure that the connecting cables
are well out of reach of children, since pulling them may cause the unit to fall.
Installing the Remote Control Battery
Pull out the battery cover.
Place the battery correctly in the battery holder.
Push the battery cover back into its original position.
Note:
•
Use only one CR2025 (3 V) lithium battery.
•
Remove the battery if the remote control is not used for a long period of time.
•
Do not leave the product in a hot or humid place.
•
Do not handle the battery with metallic materials.
•
Do not attempt to clean the remote control with a volatile solvent.
•
If the remote control is seriously contaminated, use a soft cloth moistened
with a neutral diluted cleaning agent to clean the display. Wring any excess
water out of the cloth before cleaning to prevent water from penetrating into
the housing. Wipe with a dry cloth after cleaning.

Installing the Wireless Subwoofer
1 Connect the power cord with the main unit DC IN jack and then plug it into
a power outlet.
Connect the DC power supply into the subwoofer.

Pairing the Wireless Subwoofer With the Main Unit
When the soundbar system is manufactured, the pairing is preset. Please pair
the subwoofer with the main unit by following the procedure below if
interference occurs or if pairing is interrupted.

Press CONNECT on the back of the subwoofer.
Subwoofer LED
2 Press and hold CONNECT on the remote control for 2 seconds until
"CONNT" displays on the main unit.
Check the LED status.
The subwoofer LED blink shows the pairing status as follows.

Blinks slowly
The main unit is not paired.
Blinks fast
The main unit is trying to be paired.
Blinking stops.
The red LED is continuously on.
The main unit is paired completely.
Tips:
•
If the wireless connection fails, check for any strong interference (for example,
interference from other electronic devices) around your location. After removing
the strong interference, repeat the procedure described on the left.
•
If there is a strong electromagnetic wave product nearby, interference
may occur. Place the main unit away from the location.

Positioning the Soundbar System
1 Place the main unit at a height that is closest to ear-level in the listening
area.
Position the main unit so that it is parallel to the listening area.
3 Place the subwoofer in the corner of the room or at least one meter away
from the TV.
Note:
•
Make sure not to place the main unit in an enclosed cabinet.
•
Make sure to place the main unit on the top of a table, or to mount it securely
onto a wall to prevent sound distortion.

Connecting Audio and Video With HDMI
HDMI Connection
You can connect external devices like a gaming device, Blu-ray player, etc to
the main unit using an HDMI cable (Type A, Version 1.3). With HDMI, you can
enjoy high quality sound on the main unit and high quality images on an HDMI
compatible TV or monitor. (The HDMI cable is supplied.)

1 Connect the HDMI OUT jack of the external device with the HDMI IN-1 or
HDMI IN-2 jack on the main unit.
2 Connect the HDMI OUT jack on the main unit with the HDMI IN jack on an
HDMI compatible TV or monitor.
Press O to turn on the main unit.
4 Press INPUT repeatedly to select the HDMI input mode from "HDMI1" or
"HDMI2".
Turn on the connected device.
6 Set the the source of the TV or monitor to HDMI. (Refer to the user manual
of the connected TV or monitor for details)

Note:
•
Before connecting to an external device, make sure to turn the main unit off.
•
If there is noise or lines on the screen, please check the HDMI cable (length
is generally limited to 4.5 m and use a high speed HDMI cable (version 1.3)).
•
If you want to enjoy only the TV sound more plentifully, it is necessary to
connect the audio output of the TV to the S/PDIF input of the main unit
using an S/PDIF cable. (Refer to page19.)
•
When the connected device is not compatible with copyright protection
technology (HDCP), the image and/or the sound from the HDMI TV OUT jack
may be distored or may not be outputted. In this case, check the
specifications for the connected device.
•
If a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the player, the
HDMI device’s audio sound may be distorted or may not be outputted.

OPERATION
Setting the Sound Mode
You can select a suitable sound mode for the connected device by using MODE.
Press MODE repeatedly to select MUSIC, MOVIE, SURROUND, or NEWS.
••MUSIC
This sound mode is the best for listening to music, as you can enjoy the high
fidelity sound experience.
••MOVIE
You can enjoy powerful sound in which low-pitched sound is emphasized, with
enhanced presence.
••SURROUND
This sound mode produces realistic sound through 2.1 channel audio system
with the aid of digital sound processing. It gives you the feeling you are listening
to 5.1 channel audio system.
••NEWS
This sound mode enhances the mid range of the sound spectrum for clear
vocals or speech.
Turning Off the Sound Temporarily
You can mute the sound temporarily by using MUTE.
Press MUTE to turn off the sound.
Press MUTE or VOL +/ VOL - to turn on the sound.

Selecting a Soundbar Input Mode
Your soundbar acts as a device for switching between all the input sources that
are plugged into it.
••On the main unit
Press INPUT repeatedly to select a soundbar input source. The corresponding
input source will then be activated.
••On the remote control
When one of the source buttons on the remote control is pressed, the
corresponding input will be activated.
Adjusting the Volume
You can adjust the volume from MIN 00 to MAX 25.
••Press VOL + to increase the volume level.
••Press VOL - to decrease the volume level.
Adjusting the Delay Between the Sound and the Video Image (AV
Sync)
You can delay the sound by using this function when the video image is slower than
the sound on an HDMI connection. You can set the delay from 0 to 330 ms.
••On the main unit
Press and hold MUTE until "DELAY" is displayed on the main unit.
2 Press VOL + / VOL - repeatedly to adjust the difference between the video
image and the sound.
Press O to confirm.
••On the remote control
Press and hold Sync + / Sync - until "DELAY" is displayed on the main unit.

video image and the sound.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the list below when your soundbar does not function properly. If the
problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions do not
help, turn off the main unit, disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearest
authorized dealer.

outlet for a few minutes. Reconnect the
power cord and try to operate it again as

••Press MUTE to deactivate the muting
function.
••Check that the main unit and device are
connected correctly and securely.
••Check that both the main unit and the
selected device are turned on.
••The connected S/PDIF device may be set
to AC3(Dolby Digital) output. Change the
source device output to PCM.
••Check that you select the right mode
according to the connection.
••Check whether the subwoofer is turned
on.
••Move the subwoofer closer to the main
unit. Try to pair the wireless subwoofer
with the main unit.
••Check that both ends the cable are
connected securely.
••Test the cable on an alternate device and
replace it if the same problem occurs.
