user operating instructions for rf remote control and rf2ir dongle
1. Pairing of rf2ir dongle and remote control
(1) rf2ir dongle
Press “play/pause” and “ok” keys simultaneously for 5 seconds – red STB
LED will flash.
Plug in the rf2ir dongle (1) to an available USB port of your Set Top Box (2)
within 30 seconds.
Once paired the red LED will flash twice quickly and then stop. The remote
control and the dongle are paired.
The correct function can be verified by pressing any key – red STB LED will
flash once.
In case pairing failed no LED will flash when pressing a key. In this case
the above procedure should be repeated.

2. Programming your TV
Before you start to program your remote control, make sure your TV and set top box are
switched on.
Preparation:
To speed up your programming process, the most used TV brands have 4-
digit code that will be used in the programming process.
Search for the 4-digit code of your TV brand.
In case your TV brand is not listed please use code 0 0 0 1 to search for all
brands. Please note that the search can take up to 15 minutes in that case.

Press and hold options key for 3 seconds, until the green LED flashes twice.
Enter the 4-digit code for the brand of your TV (see table above) within 10
seconds – the green LED flashes twice.
Now, press and hold the power key until your TV switches off.
As soon as your TV switches off, remove your finger from the power key and
press select key to confirm – the green LED will flash twice.
Now press the power key again to switch your TV back on.
Now you can turn your TV and your set top box on/off simultaneously by
pressing the power key; volume (vol+, vol-) and mute function will be controlled via the TV.
After first set up make sure that the set top box and TV are both powered on.
In case an invalid code has been entered the green LED will light up for 2 seconds.
If no key code is being entered within 10 seconds the remote will time out and the
programming procedure needs to be started again.

Notes:
factory default setting: no TV is programmed
once TV is programmed, volume (vol+, vol- and mute) will be controlled via the TV
for STB commands the LED will flash red, for TV commands LED will flash green (only if
TV set has been programmed)
TV programming will remain if batteries are being removed / changed
