PRODUCT INFORMATION Pediatric Patient Tag and Band PPT-1BLF FEATURES: Unique Tamper Detection mechanism enhances security of patients Easy to apply using innovative hypoallergenic band Light weight and small form factor Waterproof and easy to clean and disinfect DESCRIPTION: The PPT-1BLF is an Active Tag for use on Pediatric, Infant or other Patients. The Tag transmits periodic Beacon messages used for tracking and location of the Tag in real time, and additionally includes a Low Frequency Receiver to be able to detect signals from GuardRFID’s Tag Exciters at portals such as egress points, enabling GuardRFID’s active RFID system to control doors so as to protect a tagged patient from leaving the perimeter, for example. The PPT-1BLF has a battery life of 12 months, and designed to be mounted on the patient’s wrist or ankles using a special band. The band fits all wrist sizes, and locks into place to prevent removal of the Tag without cutting the band. Any unauthorized attempts to remove the tag by cutting or breaking the band results in a tamper alarm being sent to GuardRFID’s system by the Tag.
