Before setting up the LCD Monitor, please read this manual to help your understanding of the LCD Monitor. Brief Specification of LCD Monitor ● Resolution : 17.0 inch SXGA (1280 X 1024@75Hz) ● Color display : 16,777,216 colors ● DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling) ● OSD (On Screen Display) ● Auto Configuration : Hot key ● Speaker [L + R : 3W + 3W = 6W (max)] ● DDC 1/2B : Plug & Play Notise According to PC system, DDC 1/2B may not be supported. If you meet Error message,check your video card which compatibility with DDC. If you eant to know more information, please contact our service center. Precautions Check the voltage corresponds t o the local electrical supply before connecting the AC power cord. Do not use Ketone type mat erial (ex. A cetone), Et hyl A lcohol, Toluene, Ethyl Acid or Methyl chloride, to clear the panel. It might permanently damage the panel. Never use the damaged AC power cord. K eeps it away f rom st oves, heaters, f ireplac es and other sources of heat and magnets. Dont’ put your LCD monitor in a location with high humidity and dust. Temperature : 0~40。C Humidity : 90% less P lace the LCD monitor on a solid surf ace. I f dropped, t he s creen can be damaged easily. Don’t touch the screen with a acute nail and pin The LCD monitor consist s of electrical devices. If the LCD monitor is damaged, contact immediately our service center. The LCD monitor can be damaged easily by shock. If you don’t use t he LCD monitor for a long time, unplug the LCD monitor. Don’t use y our LCD moni tor under direct sunlight. 2 Items User Manual LCD Monitor DC Adapter 15-pin D-Sub Signal Cable Notise Please make sure the following items are included with your monitor. If any items are missing, contact your dealer. 3 Setting up the LCD monitor Where is a good place to position the monitor? Place the LCD monitor on a solid and flat surface. If dropped, the screen can be damaged easily. Check before connecting the power cord and the signal cable !! Turn off the PC power before connecting the power cord and signal cable to the LCD monitor. How to connect the power cord and the several cables to the LCD monitor. Connect the 15-pin D-Sub Signal Cable from PC to No.1. 2. If you use a speaker, connect the Audio Cable from PC to No.3. 3. If you use a headphone and earphone, connect the Headphone Cable from PC to No.4. Plug & Play The adoption of the new VESA Plug and Play solution eliminates complicated and time consuming setup. It allows you to install your monitor in a Plug and Play compatible system without the usual hassles and confusion. Your PC system can easily identify and configure itself for use with your display. This monitor automatically tells the PC system its Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) using Display Data Channel (DDC) protocols so the PC system can automatically configure itself to use the flat panel display. Warm-up Time All LCD monitors need time to become thermally stable whenever you turn on the monitor after letting the monitor be turned off for a couple of hours. Therefore, to achieve more accurate adjustments for parameters, allow the LC D monitor to be warmed up for at least 20 minutes before making any screen adjustments. 10 4 Adjusting The Monitor The Function Control Buttons How to use the Hot Key. Sound Mute On/Off Button. When you push Auto button, this will optimize image quality automatically. When you push the mode button, the mode changes PC DIGITAL VIDEO1 VIDEO2 TV. When the mode changes, time spend 2~3sec. Menu display On/Off button. Power On/Off toggle button. You can adjust brightness or contrast as not key. When display adjust menu, you can adjust with Left/Right button arrow button. W hen you push the Left/Right button, you can adjust the volume. 11 Main OSD Menu When you push the menu button, you can see below main OSD menu. MAIN MENU BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST COLOR POSITION OSD SETUP EXIT 1280×1024 79.9KHz / 75Hz BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST ● Brightness : Changes the overall light intensity of the images being displayed. ● Contrast : Changes the ratio of light intensity between the brightest white and darkest black. ● You can adjust brightness/contrast values that you want by this hot key. ● Gamma : Change the gamma value. Notise 12 POSITION & CLOCK/PHASE CLOCK/PHASE ● When image is not clear, you can use clock/phase menu. ● PHASE/ CLOCK : Although ‘Auto Adjustment’ automatically finds the optimum values of Clock and Phase parameters as well as image position, it may be necessary for you to adjust those parameters manually. It is recommended for you to use ‘Auto Adjustment’ first. If the adjustment results are not satisfactory, then use Clock and Phase adjustment features to get the best adjustment results. Bear in mind that Clock and Phase adjustment may change the width of the image and affect image position as well. If the image is clear while out of center by a couple of pixels, use image position to center the image. Color1 - Blue type Color2 - Red type RED, GREEN, BLUE - You can adjust red, green and blue values that you want. DPMS Power Saving Mode This monitor has a built-in power management system called DPMS Power Saving Mode. This system saves energy by switching your monitor into a low-power mode when it has not been used for a certain period of time. The available modes are “ON”, “Standby”, “Suspend”, and “OFF”. Check the maximum resolution and the frequency of the video adaptor. Compare these values with the data in the Display Modes Timing Chart. “No signal input” message Ensure that the signal cable is firmly connected to the PC or video sources. Ensure that the PC or video sources are turned on. Image is not stable and may appear to vibrate Check that the display resolution and frequency from your PC or video board is an available mode for your monitor. On your computer check : Control Panel, Display, Settings Note : Your monitor supports multiscan display functions within the following frequency domain: ・Horizontal frequency : 31~80KHz ・Vertical frequency : 56~75Hz ・Maximum refresh rate : 1280 x 1024 @75Hz The image is too light or too dark Adjust the Brightness and Contrast.
