The M210SE battery is a lithium ion battery pack. Lithium ion
battery packs can explode if exposed to fire. Do not disassemble
the battery pack and do not expose it to fire or heat (greater than
140 °F).

sunlight, excessice dust sources or shocks.

The touch pen may only be used for operation of the touch screen.

2 Intended Use
The M210SE Set (M210SE/DS210) data acquisition system is a solution for the mobile acquisition and
transfer of data. Do not use the system in geographical areas where explosives may be used.
Observe all warning information regarding the use of wireless devices.
The supplied connection kit (see Point 1) is only intended for use with the M210SE Set.
NOTE
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This
equipment generates, uses, and can emit radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause
interference with certain radio communications.
NOTE
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
NOTE
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible
for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

3 Handling
Read all instructions first before using the M210SE!
Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs while using the M210SE
and follow the saftey instructions carefully!
3.1 Prior to the initial Commissioning of the M210SE
In order to ensure that the battery inserted into the device at the factory is fully charged, insert the device into
the supplied DS210 docking station (if included in the scope of delivery), also see Section 3.2. Using the
supplied power supply unit, connect the docking station to the mains (Power LED shows a green light), also
see Section 3.2.
The battery charging process has been completed when the 'CHARGE' LED is green.
You can now use the M210SE handheld terminal.
You can see the battery charging process in Figure 2.
ATTENTION
Only original ACD power supply units and ACD-approved batteries
may be used for the operation of the M210SE and the DS210. The
utilization of non-approved components can lead to the
destruction of the device. Remove the battery from the device if it
is not used for an extended period of time.
ATTENTION
The M210SE battery is a lithium ion battery pack. Lithium ion

Prior to each use, the mobile data acquisition terminal, the docking
station and the connection cables must be inspected for damages.

3.2 Handling of the Device and Docking Station
Read all instructions first before using the M210SE!
Do not drink any alcohol or take any drugs while using the M210SE
and follow the saftey instructions carefully!
ATTENTION
Laser Radiation: Do not stare into the beam.
The laser classification is stated upon one of the stickers on the device.
ATTENTION
Only operate the touchscreen using the fingertips or with the
touch-pen attached to the retainer strap on the rear. Never use a
pen or other sharp objects.
ATTENTION
Never position the device in close proximity to heat sources
(heating fans or similar equipment) and never expose it to direct
sunlight, excessive dust sources or shocks.
ATTENTION
In order to prevent excessive heat, the terminal, as well as the
docking station and the power pack must not be covered while in
use.
ATTENTION
Make sure there is no risk of stumbling over connection cables or
power packs.

3.2.1 Charging the Power Supply Unit for the DS210 & M210SE
The M210SE and the spare battery may only be charged in the DS210 docking station with the respective
power supply unit.

ATTENTION
Unintended use of the interfaces should be avoided.
3.2.2 Inserting the Battery into the M210SE Handheld Terminal
The battery compartment is located at the rear end of the device. In order to open the cover, first remove the
transverse hand strap by unhooking it. Now push the locking tab on the battery compartment cover towards
the cover surface. The compartment then opens.
The battery can be inserted without the use of force. The long groove on the unlabelled side of the
battery is the top side. The opening of the groove faces the recess for the opening mechanism. In doing so,
ensure that you insert the battery at a slight incline towards the contacts and then bring it into its final
position while applying a slight amount of pressure. You can see how to insert the battery in Figure 3. First,
place the cover on the three securing straps and then push into the locking mechanism.

ATTENTION
Place the docking station correctly on a smooth and clean
underground, which is not exposed to direct sunlight.
3.2.4 Switching on the M210SE Handheld Terminal
In order to switch on the device, press the “C” button and the “F” button” until the LED beneath it lights up.
Then you can release the buttons. The desktop of your operating system or your usual work environment
appears. You can see the buttons, you have to press to switch on the device as shown in Figure 5.

3.2.5 Suspend Mode
In suspend mode, the operating system and the application running on it are stopped. The display is
switched off and consequently becomes dark. Suspend mode can be accessed by pressing the “C” button
an the “F” button, whereby the “C” button must first be pressed and held. Then the “F” button must also be
pressed. Upon leaving suspend mode (switching on the M210SE), the application and the operating system
starts to run from the same point. Thanks to both measures, the M210SE only uses a small amount of
power.

3.2.6 Switching off the M210SE Handheld Terminal
The device can be switched off by pressing the “C” button, the top right button and the “F” button whereby
the “C” button must be pressed and held first. Then additionally press the top right button and hold it. Then
additionally press and hold the “F” button (see Figure 7). Hold these three buttons for a minimum of 10
seconds!

3.2.7 Status of the DS210 Docking Station LEDs
The DS210 status LEDs are located on the front of the docking station.

The POWER LED shows a green light as soon as the DS210 is supplied with current via the power supply
unit.
The CHARGE LED shows a red light when the M210 is charging. The LED shows a green light once the
M210SE is fully charged. In order to ensure a correct display, the M210SE must be switched off. If the
M210SE is switched on, the CHARGE LED may show a red light although the battery is already charged.
The 2. BATTERY LED shows a red light if a spare battery is being charged. The LED shows a green light
once the spare battery is fully charged.
With the DS210 Ethernet, the CONNECT LED flashes green if the DS210 is connected to the LAN (Ethernet)
with a network cable and the M210SE has loaded the Ethernet driver. Therefore, the CONNECT-LED has
the same function as the green Link LED on the network socket (RJ45 with two integrated LEDs) on the rear
end of the device. The yellow LED is the Tx LED. It flashes if data is being transmitted from the M210SE into
the LAN via the DS210.

4 Cleaning and Maintenance Information
Turn off the device before starting any cleaning or maintenance
process!
Make sure that the laser beam is switched off by checking the
laser beam exit!
ATTENTION
Do not use any corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions or strong
cleaning agents in order to clean the device.
ATTENTION
All components must be disposed of properly at the end of their
technical lifetime.
Clean the device when dirty and by placing it firmly onto a surface (e.g. table). This ensures a secure hold
and the device cannot slip out of your hand during the cleaning process.
4.1 Display
Clean the display with a soft, dry cloth. In order to do, always switch off the device as the display responds to
all contact and could therefore compromise or interfere with the active program. Do not apply any severe
pressure on the display.
4.2 Charging and Communication Contacts
If transfer problems occur, clean the charging and communication contacts with a soft, moist cloth.
When dealing with the DS210, the power plug must be disconnected beforehand.
4.3 Scanner, Camera and Camera light window
In the event of any irregularities during scanning, switch off the device and clean the scanner window with a
soft, dry cloth. The scanner window is ultra-transparent and can hardly be seen with the naked eye. Carefully
clean the window without applying excess force on the glass.

These Representations and Warranties are applicable to all customers (the “Customers” and each,
individually, a “Customer”) purchasing products (the “Products”) manufactured by ACD Elektronik GmbH (the
“Company”).
1. Warranty and Limitations:
1.1. Company warrants solely to the original purchaser of the Products that for the Warranty Period (as
defined below), the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, and
will conform to Company’s published specifications of the Products. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Company
retains its right to deviate from its published specifications due to the latest innovations and improvements in
function and design of the Products.
1.2. The foregoing warranty is subject to the proper storage, transportation and use of the Products, and
does not include defects due to normal wear and tear or deterioration.
1.3. Customer shall immediately, but in any event no later than eight (8) days following delivery or
installation of the Product, inspect the Products for conformity and visible defects. Customer shall give
Company immediate written notice of any non-conformities or visible defects regarding the Products. In the
event that Customer fails to provide the Company within eight (8) days following delivery or installation of the
Products with notice of any non-conformities or visible defects, any warranty claims in this regard shall be
deemed waived.
1.4. Customer shall immediately notify Company in writing of any other defects of the Products and
return such defective Product. Company’s sole obligation under the foregoing warranty is, at Company’s
option, to replace or exchange the defective Product or issue a merchandise credit for the defective Product.
Any replaced or exchanged Products shall be subject to the warranty set forth in 1.1., following their
replacement or exchange. If Company has received notification from Customer, and no defects of the
Product could be discovered, Customer shall bear the costs that Company incurred as a result of the notice.
It shall be in Company’s sole discretion to determine if the Product has a defect.
1.5. With respect to orders made to custom, any defects of the Products caused by Customer’s
specifications are excluded from the warranty set forth in 1.1.
1.6. Company also makes no warranty that the Products manufactured under an order made to custom
do not infringe the intellectual property or other proprietary rights of any third party and Customer is solely
responsible for assuring that such Products do not so infringe.
1.7. The “Warranty Period” begins on the date of delivery of the Product to Customer, and continues to
be in effect for two (2) years.
1.8. Company does not authorize any person or party to assume or create for it any other obligation or
liability in connection with the Products except as set forth herein.

EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS. IT IS AGREED AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT

9 Uso previsto
El set del sistema de adquisición de datos M210SE (M210SE/DS210) es una solución para la adquisición y
transferencia móvil de datos. No use el sistema en zonas geográficas en las que se puedan usar
explosivos.
Observe toda la información de advertencia relacionada con el uso de dispositivos inalámbricos.
El kit de conexión suministrado (consulte el punto 8) solo está indicado para usarse con el set M210SE.
NOTA
Se ha comprobado que este equipo cumple con los límites de los dispositivos
digitales de clase A, de acuerdo con el apartado 15 de las normas de la FCC.
Estos límites se han establecido para proporcionar una protección razonable
contra interferencias perjudiciales cuando el equipo se usa en un entorno
comercial. Este equipo genera, usa y puede emitir energía de

10.1 Antes de la primera puesta en funcionamiento del M210SE
Para asegurarse de que la batería insertada en fábrica en el dispositivo esté completamente cargada,
coloque el dispositivo en la estación de carga DS210 suministrada (si se incluye en el volumen de
suministro) y consulte también la sección 10.2. Usando la unidad de alimentación suministrada, conecte la
estación de carga a la toma eléctrica (el LED Power muestra una luz verde) y consulte también la sección
10.2.
El proceso de carga de la batería se ha completado cuando el LED 'CHARGE' esté en verde.
Ahora puede usar el terminal de mano M210SE.

10.2 Manipulación del dispositivo y de la estación de carga
¡Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar el M210SE!
¡No beba alcohol ni tome drogas al usar el M210SE y siga
atentamente las instrucciones de seguridad!
ATENCIÓN
Radiación láser: no mire fijamente el rayo láser.
La clasificación láser se establece en uno de los adhesivos del
dispositivo.
ATENCIÓN
Maneje la pantalla táctil solo con las yemas de los dedos o con el
lápiz táctil enganchado en la correa de retención de la parte
trasera. No use nunca un
lápiz ni otros objetos afilados.
ATENCIÓN
No coloque nunca el dispositivo cerca de fuentes de calor
(calefactores o equipos similares) y nunca lo exponga a la luz
solar directa, a fuentes de polvo excesivo ni a impactos.
ATENCIÓN
Para evitar un sobrecalentamiento, el terminal, la estación de
carga y la fuente de alimentación no pueden cubrirse mientras
estén funcionando.
ATENCIÓN
Asegúrese de que no se corra el riesgo de tropezar con los cables
de conexión ni con las fuentes de alimentación.

10.2.1 Carga de la unidad de alimentación de la DS210 y del M210SE
El M210SE y la batería de repuesto solo se pueden cargar en la estación de carga DS210 con la respectiva
unidad de alimentación.

10.2.2 Inserción de la batería en el terminal de mano M210SE
El compartimento de la batería se encuentra en el extremo posterior del dispositivo. Para abrir la cubierta,
quite primero la correa de mano transversal desenganchándola. A continuación, presione la lengüeta de
bloqueo de la cubierta del compartimento de la batería hacia la superficie de la cubierta. De este modo, se
abre el compartimento.
La batería puede insertarse sin usar fuerza. La ranura larga del lado sin etiqueta de la batería es el lado
superior. La abertura de la ranura debe quedar delante del hueco del mecanismo de apertura. Al hacerlo,
asegúrese de insertar la batería con una ligera inclinación hacia los contactos y, después, colóquela en su
posición final aplicando una ligera presión. Puede ver cómo insertar la batería en la Figura 12. En primer
lugar, coloque la cubierta sobre las tres correas de seguridad y, a continuación, presione el mecanismo de
bloqueo.

ATENCIÓN
Coloque la estación de carga correctamente sobre una superficie
plana y limpia no expuesta a la luz solar directa.
10.2.4 Encendido del terminal de mano M210SE
Para encender el dispositivo, pulse el botón “C” y el botón “F” que se ilumine el LED de debajo. A
continuación, puede soltar los botones. Aparece el escritorio de su sistema operativo o de su entorno de
trabajo habitual. Puede ver los botones que tiene que pulsar para encender el dispositivo en la Figura 14.

10.2.5 Modo de suspensión
En modo de suspensión, el sistema operativo y la aplicación que se esté ejecutando en él se detienen. La
pantalla se apaga y, a continuación, se oscurece. Puede accederse al modo de suspensión pulsando el
botón “C” y el botón “F”, para lo cual debe pulsarse primero y mantenerse pulsado el botón “C”. A
continuación, también debe pulsarse el botón “F”. Tras salir del modo de suspensión (encendiendo el
M210SE), la aplicación y el sistema operativo empiezan a ejecutarse desde el mismo punto. Gracias a
ambas medidas, el M210SE solo usa una pequeña cantidad de energía.

10.2.6 Apagado del terminal de mano M210SE
El dispositivo puede apagarse pulsando el botón “C”, el botón superior derecho y el botón “F”, para lo cual
debe pulsarse primero y mantenerse pulsado el botón “C”. A continuación, pulse también el botón superior
derecho y manténgalo pulsado. Después, pulse también el botón “F” y manténgalo pulsado (consulte la
Figura 16). ¡Mantenga pulsados estos tres botones durante un mínimo de 10 segundos!

10.2.7 Estado de los LED de la estación de carga DS210
Los LED de la DS210 están situados en la parte delantera de la estación de carga.

El LED POWER se ilumina en verde tan pronto como la DS210 reciba suministro de corriente a través de la
unidad de alimentación.
El LED CHARGE se ilumina en rojo cuando el M210 se está cargando. El LED se ilumina en verde cuando
el M210SE está totalmente cargado. Para garantizar una correcta visualización, el M210SE debe estar
apagado. Si el M210SE está encendido, el LED CHARGE puede iluminarse en rojo aunque la batería ya
esté cargada.
El LED 2. BATTERY se ilumina en rojo si se está cargando una batería de repuesto. El LED se ilumina en
verde cuando la batería de repuesto está totalmente cargada.
Con el DS210 Ethernet, el LED CONNECT parpadea en verde si la DS210 está conectada a la conexión
LAN (Ethernet) con un cable de red y el M210SE ha cargado el controlador de Ethernet. Por tanto, el LED
CONNECT tiene la misma función que el LED Link verde en el conector de red (RJ45 con dos LED
integrados) de la parte trasera del dispositivo. El LED amarillo es el LED Tx. Parpadea si se están
transmitiendo datos desde el M210SE a la conexión LAN a través de la DS210.

11 Información de limpieza y mantenimiento
¡Apague el dispositivo antes de empezar cualquier proceso de
limpieza o mantenimiento!
¡Asegúrese de que el rayo láser esté apagado comprobando la
salida del rayo láser!
ATENCIÓN
No use productos químicos corrosivos, soluciones de limpieza ni
agentes de limpieza agresivos para limpiar el dispositivo.
ATENCIÓN
Todos los componentes deben eliminarse adecuadamente al
finalizar su vida técnica útil.
Limpie el dispositivo cuando esté sucio colocándolo firmemente sobre una superficie (p. ej., una mesa). De
este modo, se garantiza una retención segura y que el dispositivo no pueda escapársele de la mano durante
el proceso de limpieza.
11.1 Pantalla
Limpie la pantalla con un paño suave y seco. Para hacerlo, apague siempre el dispositivo, ya que la pantalla
responde a todo contacto y podría poner en peligro o interferir con el programa activo. No aplique presión
excesiva sobre la pantalla.
11.2 Contactos de carga y comunicación
Si se producen problemas de transferencia, limpie los contactos de carga y comunicación con un paño
suave y húmedo.
Al manipular la DS210, el enchufe de alimentación debe estar desconectado de antemano.
11.3 Lector, cámara y ventana de luz de la cámara
En caso de irregularidades durante la lectura, apague el dispositivo y limpie la ventana del lector con un
paño suave y seco. La ventana del lector es ultratransparente y casi no se puede ver a simple vista. Limpie
cuidadosamente la ventana sin aplicar excesiva fuerza sobre el cristal.

Estas Declaraciones y Garantías son aplicables a todos los clientes (los “Clientes” y cada uno de forma
individual, un “Cliente”) que compre productos (los “Productos”) fabricados por ACD Elektronik GmbH (la
“Empresa”).
3. Garantía y limitaciones:
3.1. La Empresa garantiza únicamente al comprador original de los Productos que, durante el Período
de garantía (tal como se define a continuación), los Productos estarán libres de defectos de material y
fabricación en condiciones de uso normales, y que cumplirán las especificaciones de los Productos
publicadas por la Empresa. A pesar de lo anterior, la Empresa conserva el derecho de diferir de las
especificaciones publicadas a causa de las últimas innovaciones y mejoras en el funcionamiento y diseño
de los Productos.
3.2. La garantía anterior está sujeta a un almacenamiento, transporte y uso adecuados de los Productos,
y no incluye defectos debidos al desgaste o al deterioro normales.
3.3. El Cliente inspeccionará los Productos inmediatamente, a más tardar en los ocho (8) días
posteriores a la entrega o instalación del Producto, para comprobar que sean conformes y no presenten
defectos visibles. El Cliente informará a la Empresa inmediatamente por escrito de cualquier irregularidad o
defectos visibles relacionados con los Productos. En caso de que el Cliente no informe a la Empresa de
cualquier irregularidad o defecto visible en los ocho (8) días posteriores a la entrega o instalación de los
Productos, se considerará una renuncia a las reclamaciones de garantía al respecto.
3.4. El Cliente informará inmediatamente a la Empresa por escrito de cualquier otro defecto de los
Productos y devolverá dicho Producto defectuoso. La única obligación de la Empresa en virtud de la
garantía anterior es, a criterio de la Empresa, sustituir o cambiar el producto defectuoso o emitir una nota de
crédito por el Producto defectuoso. Cualquier Producto sustituido o cambiado estará sujeto a la garantía
establecida en el punto 1.1., tras su sustitución o cambio. Si la Empresa ha recibido una notificación del
Cliente y no se han podido detectar defectos en el Producto, el Cliente correrá con los gastos en los que
haya incurrido la Empresa como resultado del aviso. La empresa determinará a su exclusivo criterio si el
Producto tiene un defecto.
3.5. Con respecto a los pedidos personalizados, cualquier defecto de los Productos causado por las
especificaciones del Cliente se excluye de la garantía establecida en el punto 1.1.
3.6. La Empresa tampoco ofrece garantías de que los Productos fabricados según un pedido
personalizado no infrinjan la propiedad intelectual u otros derechos de propiedad de terceros, y el Cliente es
el único responsable de garantizar que dichos Productos no los infrinjan.
3.7. El “Período de garantía” empieza el día de la entrega del Producto al Cliente y sigue en vigor
durante dos (2) años.
3.8. La Empresa no autoriza a ninguna persona ni parte a asumir ni crear para ella cualquier otra
obligación o responsabilidad en relación con los Productos excepto lo establecido en el presente
documento.

4. Limitación de responsabilidad:
4.1. LA EMPRESA NO SERÁ EN NINGÚN CASO RESPONSABLE DE DAÑOS INDIRECTOS,
ACCIDENTALES, PUNITIVOS, CUANTIFICABLES O EMERGENTES, INCLUIDOS, A TÍTULO
ENUNCIATIVO, DAÑOS POR LUCRO CESANTE, PÉRDIDA DE INGRESOS, CLIENTELA O USO, EN
QUE HAYA INCURRIDO EL CLIENTE O TERCEROS, TANTO POR UNA ACCIÓN CONTRACTUAL,
NEGLIGENCIA, RESPONSABILIDAD OBJETIVA, POR IMPOSICIÓN LEGAL O DE OTRO MODO,
INCLUSO SI SE TIENE CONOCIMIENTO DE LA POSIBILIDAD DE DICHOS DAÑOS. LA
RESPONSABILIDAD DE LA EMPRESA POR DAÑOS QUE SURJAN DE ESTE ACUERDO O ESTÉN
RELACIONADOS CON ÉL NO SUPERARÁ EN NINGÚN CASO EL PRECIO DE COMPRA DE LOS
PRODUCTOS. SE ACUERDA Y RECONOCE QUE LAS DISPOSICIONES DE ESTE ACUERDO ASIGNAN
LOS RIESGOS ENTRE LA EMPRESA Y EL CLIENTE, QUE LOS PRECIOS DE LA EMPRESA REFLEJAN
ESTA ASIGNACIÓN DE RIESGOS Y, A NO SER POR ESTA ASIGNACIÓN Y LIMITACIÓN DE
RESPONSABILIDAD, LA EMPRESA NO HABRÍA CELEBRADO ESTE ACUERDO.
4.2. EN JURISDICCIONES QUE IMPIDAN O RESTRINJAN EL ALCANCE DE LAS LIMITACIONES O
LA EXCLUSIÓN DE COMPENSACIONES O INDEMNIZACIÓN POR DAÑOS Y PERJUICIOS, O DE
