It contains instructionsto help you use, maintain and enioy yourdehumidifier. Grounding Thisdehumidifier must be grounded. Grounding reducesthe riskof electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. The power cord has a grounding wire with a grounding plug. Plug it into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded. WARNING--Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.Call a qualified electricianif you don't understand 1he grounding instructions or if you are not sure if the dehumidifier is properly grounded. If the wall outlet is not grounded, please contact an electricianto have it replaced with a properly grounded outlet. Do not, under any circumstances,cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Adapter Plug Becausemost2-prong outlets are not grounded, we strongly advise against using an adapter plug. However,a temporary connection may be made where local codes permit and if the 2-prong well outlet is properly grounded. Make sure the larger prong of the adapter goes into fne large slot to provide proper polarity. 2 FOR PROPER GROUNDING 1. Digital HumidityDisplay Operation Guide Afteryou plug in the unit it will performa self-test.All the display lights will turn on for 3 seconds. The LED display will read "88". If any display light fails to turn on you may need service on the unit. After the 3 seconds self-test the unit will automatically go to the stand by mode. Now all lights will be off and you will have to _m on by pressing the "POWER" key. After pressing "POWER", LEDdisplays the humidity of the ambient air. LEDwill display "LO" when humTdityis lower than 30%, and TtwTIIdisplaynHl" when humidity is higher than 90%. It is normal for the surrounding air to become slightlywarmer as the dehumidifier operates. This warming effectfurther reducesthe relative humidity of the surroundingair. 1. Automatic Hurnidistat Control This allows you to adjust the humidily of the air. You may setthe humidity to your desired by pressing "<" and ">" key. H<, Everytime the key is pressed, desired humidity changes as follows: dry_,-Iow humidity_,-comfortable_,-middle humidity_dligh humidity The indicator lights turn on stepby step. It will stop when in the high humidity. It will stop when in the dry. 3 onthedehumidifier 2. Two Fan speeds With this you can control the fan speed. You have 2 levels of Fan Speed for you to set at you desired level. LOW will circulate air at the lower velocity and HIGH will circulate at the maximum. Press"FAN" key, for each press, the fan speed changes as follows: [_kow speed_,-High speed 3. Check Filter Indicator The check filter indicatorwill flash when filter need to be cleaned. Remove filter, wash and replace it. (See PS)Press"RESET" key, the check filter indicator is off. 4. Auto-Defrost Sensor (Built in) When ternpera_ureg_s down to 60°F or lower, ice may form on the evaporator coils preventing removal of moisture. The FROSTCONTROL stopsthe compressor when this happens but allows the fan to continue running. When the ice is no longer present it starts the compressor. 5. Bucket Full Indicator When light comes on, automatic flow control stops the unit. Turn the unit off bypressing"POWER"key before emptying the bucket. (See P5) 4 6. Power Failure Resume Funcffon When the power resumesafter power failure, the unitwill run automatically. All the display lightswill lum on for 3 seconds ond then the unitresumesthe lost station before the powerfailure. 7. Auto Air-dry If the power is off and the unit is not unplugged, for keeping the unit dry, the fan will keep running for 2 minutes every 30 minutes. 8. Digital Humidily Display LED displays the humidity of the ambient air. The humidity range is 30%-90%. Htis normal for the surrounding air to become slightly warmer as the dehumidifier operates.
