Grounding
Thisdehumidifiermust be grounded.
Grounding reducesthe riskof electric
shock by providing an escape wire for
the electric current.
The power cord has a grounding wire
with a grounding plug. Plug it into an
outlet that is properly installed and
grounded.
WARNING--Improper use of the
grounding plugcan result in a risk of
electric shock.Call a qualified
electricianif you don't understand 1he
grounding instructions or if you are
not sure ifthe dehumidifier is properly
grounded. If the wall outlet is not
grounded, please contact an
electricianto have it replaced with a
properly grounded outlet.
Do not, under any circumstances,cut
or remove the third (ground) prong
from the power cord.
Adapter Plug
Becausemost2-prong outlets are not
grounded, we strongly advise against
using an adapter plug.
However,a temporary connection may
be made where local codes permit
and if the 2-prong well outlet is
properly grounded. Make surethe
larger prong of the adapter goes into
fne largeslot to provide proper polarity.
FOR PROPER GROUNDING
1. Ground the adapterto the outlet
by usingthe outlet cover screwto
securethe ground terminal to the
outlet box.
2. Pleaseconfirm the outlet is
grounded through the house
wiring. If the grounding connector
breaks. DO NOT USEthe
dehumidifier un_laproper ground
has again been made.
Exlension Cord
If an extensioncord is required to
reach the nearest well receptacle, use
only a UL-llsted, 3-wlre, grounding
_ype,16 AWG, 15A, 125V appliance
extensioncord.

Afteryou plug inthe unit it will performaself-test.All the display lights will turn on for 3
seconds. The LED display will read "88". If any display light fails to turn on you may need
service on the unit. After the 3 seconds self-test the unit will automatically go to the stand
by mode. Now all lights will be off and you willhave to _m on by pressing the "POWER"
key. After pressing "POWER", LEDdisplays the humidity of the ambient air. LEDwill display
"LO" when humTdityis lower than 30%, and TtwTIIdisplaynHl" when humidity is higher
than 90%.
It isnormal for the surrounding air to become slightlywarmer as the dehumidifier operates.
This warming effectfurther reducesthe relative humidity of the surroundingair.
1. Automatic Hurnidistat Control
This allows you to adjust the humidily of the air. You may setthe humidity to your
desired by pressing "<" and ">" key.
H<, Everytime the key is pressed, desired humidity changes as follows:
dry_,-Iow humidity_,-comfortable_,-middle humidity_dligh humidity
The indicator lights turn on stepby step. It will stop when in the high humidity.

2. Two Fan speeds
With this you can control the fan speed.
You have 2levels of Fan Speed for you
to set at you desired level. LOW will
circulate air at the lower velocity and
HIGH will circulate at the maximum.
Press"FAN" key, for each press, the fan
speed changes as follows:

3. Check Filter Indicator
The check filter indicatorwill flash when
filter need to be cleaned.
Removefilter, wash and replace it. (See
PS)Press"RESET" key, the check filter
indicator is off.
4. Auto-Defrost Sensor (Built in)
When ternpera_ureg_s down to 60°F or
lower, ice may form on the evaporator
coils preventing removal of moisture.The
FROSTCONTROL stopsthe compressor
when this happens but allows the fan to
continue running. When the ice is no
longer present it starts the compressor.
5. Bucket Full Indicator
When light comes on, automatic flow
control stops the unit. Turn the unit off
bypressing"POWER"key before emptying
the bucket. (SeeP5)
6. Power Failure Resume Funcffon
When the power resumesafter power
failure, the unitwillrun automatically. All
the display lightswilllum on for 3 seconds
ond then the unitresumesthe lost station
before the powerfailure.
7. Auto Air-dry
If the power isoff and the unit is not
unplugged, for keeping the unit dry, the
fan will keep running
for 2 minutes every 30 minutes.
8. Digital Humidily Display
LED displays the humidity of the ambient
air. The humidity range is 30%-90%.

water.
]. Using the bucket
Do not damage
before removing the bucket.
Wait a few minutes to allow the
water to stop dripping. Use both
side handles to lift bucket. Pull it
out and remove. Then pour water
through opening and replace
bucket correctly. {SeeFig.1 )
Note: All models are equipped with
buiJtdnwater overflow controk The unit
will shut down when the water Jevd
reachesa maximum level in the bucket.
This prevents the bucket from
overflowing. The maxirnum water levd
can be adjusted by lifting the red
plunger located on the top of the
bucket.
Turning the plunger dockwise about
two turns will raise the water levek
Turning it antioclockwise will lower the
maximum water level.

drain hose connecton Use a
minimum 1/4 drill bit.
Attach a length of thinowaJJhose

can be automatically emptied into

Proper use and care
°Place the dehumidifier in a location
that does not restrictair flow into the rear
coil or out the front grille.
•The dehumidifier must be operated
in an enclosed area to be most effective.
Close all doors, windows and other outside
openings to the room.
°A dehumidifier operating in a
basement will have little or no effect in
drying an adjacent enclosedstorage area,
such as a closet, unlessthere is adequate
circulation of air in and out of the area_
°Turn the dehumidifier off and remove
the plug from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Usewater and a mild detergent
to clean the inlet and outlet grilles. Do
not use bleach or abrasives.
.The air filter is on the back of the
dehumidifien It should be checked and
cleaned when necessary_
To remove filter: Turn the dehumidifier off
and lift out the filter on the back of the
unit. Vacuum the filter or wash with waten

Make sure there are no curtains,
blinds or furniture blocking the front

Clean the filter.
Additional note: After prolonged
usage,the condenser coils behind the
filter may develop a buildup of
residual. Unlesscleaned regularly with
a soft brush, this residual will harden
through time and may require special
cleaning methods by a
refrigeration/airoconditioning
serviceman_

When first installed, allow at least 3
or 4 days to remove the moisture from
the room to maintain the desired
dryness_

suitable for room size and moisture

-The controls may not be set

• Doors and windows may not be
dosed. Check that all doors, windows
and other openings are closed tightly
and bat open.
Clothes dryer may be in operation
in the same room_ Install the
dehumidifier away from the moisture-
