Safety Measures Warning     If  you encounter  any  problem  while taking  blood  pressure  measurement,  such as  inflation does not stop or air leakage in the cuff, remove the cuff or pull out the air tube from the base unit.   Do not wrap BP cuff over the arm where an intravenous injection or transfusion is being given to the patient.    Do  not  operate  the  gadget  in  places  where  inflammable  gas,  such  as  highly  inflammable anesthetic, may be generated or in a high-pressure oxygen room or in an oxygen tent.   Keep the gadget away from infants, small children or anyone who are incapable of using the gadget in the correct manner.   Please do not use the same cuff for patients who are highly infectious as this practice may cause cross-infection.   Make sure the ear canal is clean for before performing temperature measurement.    Use dust cover for Ear Thermometer during the temperature measurement.   Place the finger inside the SpO2 probe properly during the Blood oxygen level measurement.  Caution    Do not use the gadget while moving in a vehicle as this may result in erroneous readings.   Do not use any other branded cuffs as this may result in reading errors.   Do not use unauthorized parts and accessories.   Do  not  store  or  use  this  gadget  in  locations  which  are  maintained  above  the  specified temperature and humidity ranges.   Finger nail polish or false fingernails may cause inaccurate SpO2 readings.   SpO2 measurements may be adversely affected in the presence of high ambient light.   Dispose the used lancet and cotton in an appropriate container.  Care and Maintenance    Store the gadget and the components in a clean and safe location.   Changes or modifications not approved by the manufacturer will void the user warranty.   Keep the accessories and gadget away from rain, sweat and water.   Do not disassemble, repair or modify the gadget and the components by yourself, hence this could void the user's authority to operate the device.

American Megatrends India Private Ltd.    Clean the rubber touching the finger inside the SpO2 probe gently by a soft cloth dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol before measurement. Know Your Unit The base unit has an elegant look and feel with two LED indicators, an accessory connector and  a power ON/OFF sliding switch as shown below. Accessories like cuff, IR Ear Thermometer with cover, SpO2 probe, Gluchobin and USB cable with power adapter are provided along with the base unit. Intended use B.O.L.T (VA06) It  is  used  to  measure  the  vital  signs  like  Blood  Pressure,  Body  temperature,  Blood  oxygen saturation level & Blood glucose, hemoglobin, cholesterol levels. The B.O.L.T device is controlled from a mobile device. Prerequisites Some basic requirements must be adopted as mentioned below to ensure better operation of the product.   B.O.L.T is designed to be operated with applications like Android, iOS or Windows.   The Android OS version of the using computer/mobile device should be 4.0 or higher.   The iOS version of the using computer/mobile device should be 7 or higher.

American Megatrends India Private Ltd.    The Windows OS version of the using computer/mobile device should be 8 or higher. Using B.O.L.T Application       Downloading and Installing B.O.L.T application in your computer/mobile device 1.  Download and Install B.O.L.T application from the Play store/Application store/Windows application market. 2.  On successful installation, launch the B.O.L.T application in the mobile device. 3.  Create a User Name with your Email ID or use Facebook/Google+ Credentials for login.  4.  On successful Login, provide permission for cloud service by enabling the Save in cloud option and enter near and dear details under settings panel at left top corner of the home view. Note:  You  can  also  login  as  a  guest  user  while  internet  unavailability which  might  not  store  the measured  vital  parameters  in  the  cloud  storage space on the measured parameters. Blood Pressure Measurement Procedures  Mandatory instructions to be followed during blood pressure measurement   Relax yourself in a comfortable position.   Avoid eating, exercising and smoking for 30 minutes before taking a measurement.   Avoid taking measurements during stressful times.   Remove tight-fitting clothing from the right upper arm.   Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor and place the right arm on a table as shown below.     Apply the cuff to the right upper arm so that the cuff is wrapped at the same level of your heart.    Ensure that the arrow present in the BP cuff points towards the artery along the middle finger of the right hand as shown below.

Blood Pressure measurement with B.O.L.T      B.O.L.T enables connecting an air hose through which the blood pressure is monitored.   Connecting air hose with the gadget and launching B.O.L.T application  1.  Insert the BP connector plug into the BP socket firmly as shown above. 2.  Switch ON the gadget using the ON/OFF sliding switch. 3.  Enable Bluetooth and Internet Connectivity in the computer/mobile device. 4.  Launch the B.O.L.T application in the computer/mobile device. 5.  Login with the User Name and Password which is used for the registration.  Measuring BP with B.O.L.T   1.  On successful login of the B.O.L.T application, Select “How is my health” option to perform Master Health checkup or select “Check Vitals” option to perform individual test. 2.  Confirm the Bluetooth device to turn-on. 3.  Select the B.O.L.T device from the list of available Bluetooth devices and confirm. 4.  Provide default password (1234/0000) for pairing your B.O.L.T device with mobile device on your first time usage (only for android).  5.  Wrap the cuff around the upper arm of the right hand above the elbow. 6.  Ensure that the arrow in the BP cuff points the artery along the middle finger of the right hand as discussed earlier in the Blood Pressure measurement procedure section. 7.  Start the Blood Pressure measurement using the application screen. 8.  Ensure that the person remains stable until the application displays the results. 9.  On successful measurement, the Blood Pressure and Pulse rate are displayed and a copy of reading will be mailed to your Near & Dear mail IDs on saving the data. 10. Multiple readings can  be taken with atleast 1 minute interval  by selecting the auto-reading option.

Note:  On  Successful  pairing  of  the  mobile device,  Bluetooth  light  stops blinking in the gadget. Ensure that the save option is enabled for storing the data in cloud.  Blood Pressure Classification for Adults  The  World  Health  Organization  (WHO)  has  created  the  following  classification  for  assessing  high blood  pressure  (Hypertension).  Please  note  that  this  table  can  give  only  a  generic  view  as  other factors  such  as diabetes,  obesity  and  smoking,  also need  to  be  considered  for understanding the different ranges. Consult with your physician for accurate assessment. Blood Oxygen Level measurement with B.O.L.T    B.O.L.T enables connecting a SpO2 probe through which the blood oxygen level is measured.  Connecting SpO2 probe with the gadget  Insert the SpO2 connector into the socket firmly as shown below.

Select “Check Vitals” option to perform individual test. 2. Clip the SpO2 probe in the index finger of the person to be measured in right/left hand. 3.  Select the Blood Oxygen option from the application screen. 4.  On successful measurement,  the SpO2 value and Pulse rate are displayed and a  copy  of reading will be mailed to your Near & Dear mail IDs on saving the data.  Blood Oxygen Level Classification Please note that  this table  can give only  a generic view. Consult  with  your physician  for accurate assessment.  SpO2 Classification Range Hypoxemia (low)                            < 95 % Normal 95-100 % Temperature Measurement Procedures  Mandatory instructions to be followed during temperature measurement   Relax yourself in a comfortable position.   Use new dust cover for each measurement.   Place the Ear Thermometer firmly into the ear canal for accurate measurement.   Remain stable during the measurement.   Wait until the application displays the measured temperature.  Body Temperature measurement with B.O.L.T  B.O.L.T enables connecting an IR Ear Thermometer through which the temperature is measured.  Connecting IR Ear Thermometer with the gadget  Insert the IR Ear Thermometer connecter into the socket firmly as shown below.

Select “Check Vitals” option to perform individual test. 2.  Use dust cover over the tip of the Ear Thermometer. 3.  Place  the  Ear  Thermometer  inside  the  ear  horizontally  as  such  the  pointer  maintains horizontal position as displayed above. 4.  Select the Body temperature option from the application screen. 5.  On  successful  measurement,  the  temperature  value  is  displayed  and  a  copy  of  the reading will be mailed to your Near & Dear mail IDs on saving the data. Blood Glucose level measurement with B.O.L.T  B.O.L.T  enables  connecting  a  Gluchobin  through  which  the  glucose  test  strip  are  inserted  for measurement.  Using Lancet pen and Lancet  1.  Unscrew and remove the lancet pen `s adjustable tip as shown below.

Twist off the protective cover.   4.  Replace the adjustable tip tightly. Choose a desired skin penetration depth by rotating the top portion of the adjustable tip until the setting number lines up to the arrow. 5.  Settings are based on skin type: Depth 1-2 for soft or thin skin Depth 3 for average skin Depth 4-5 for thick or calloused skin 6.  Hold the tip of the lancet pen with one hand and pull the sliding barrel with the other hand. When a click is felt, the trigger rises up. Release the sliding barrel, it will move back to its original position.  Connecting Gluchobin with the gadget  7. Insert the Gluchobin connecter into the socket firmly as shown below.   Gluchobin connected to B.O.L.T Device 8. Select the “Blood Glucose” option from the application screen of the mobile device. 9.  Insert the blood glucose test strip into the test strip slot of the Gluchobin as shown below.

Click “Start” in the application screen of the mobile device. 11. Clean your finger with alcohol swap and let it dry completely.  12. Place the lancet pen on side of your fingertip.  13. Press the trigger on the lancet pen as shown above. 14. Get a drop of blood and place the blood drop on the test strip target area.   15. On successful test completion, the test result will be displayed in 6 or 7 second on the application screen. 16. Wipe any excess blood on the finger with the cotton and dispose it properly. 17. Choose the options “before meal” or “just after meal” or “3 hours after meal” as per the status of the user in the application screen. 18. Pull the test strip out of the Gluchobin. 19. Unscrew the adjustable tip of the lancet pen. 20. Place the protective cover of the lancet back on the lancet as shown below.      21. Discard the used lancet in an appropriate container. 22. Screw the adjustable tip back on the lancet pen. Note: Ensure that the test strip gets enough blood. Else try to use a new test strip to do the test again.

Using Lancet pen and Lancet  1.  Unscrew and remove the lancet pen `s adjustable tip as shown below.    2.  Insert a lancet into the carrier as shown below.              3.  Twist off the protective cover.

Clean your finger with alcohol swap and let it dry completely.  12. Place the lancet pen on side of your fingertip.

Place the protective cover of the lancet back on the lancet as shown below.      20. Discard the used lancet in an appropriate container. 21. Screw the adjustable tip back on the lancet pen. Click “Start” in the application screen of the mobile device. 11. Clean your finger with alcohol swap and let it dry completely.  12. Place the lancet pen on side of your fingertip.  13. Press the trigger on the lancet pen as shown above. 14. Get a drop of blood and place the blood drop on the test strip target area.   15. Enter  your  height  (feet/cm)  and  weight  (lbs/kg)  of  the  person  to  be  measured  in  the application. 3. On successful  measurement, the BMI value  is displayed  which can be compared with the above BMI range classification table. American Megatrends India Private Ltd.     Connect the AC power adapter to the power source and micro USB port to the base unit`s USB Power socket.    Charge the base unit for minimum two hours during the first time usage.   The mobile  application indicates  the  battery  low  status  when  the  battery  level  goes  below 25% and shows critically low status when the battery level goes below 10%.    Charge  the  base  unit  using  the  power  adapter  and  view  the  charge  level  in  the  mobile application software.   It is recommended to unplug the power adapter from power source when the charge level reaches 100%.   When  fully  charged  the  base  unit  will  automatically  cut  off  charging  internally,  thus  the device’s design has taken safety measures into account to face various abnormal conditions like over-charging, over discharging etc.   When charging is needed, please connect the base unit to the power source using the power adapter.   The base unit can be operated by o    Connecting to power source  directly using  the power adapter    or o  Using  the charged inbuilt battery (adapter not required)             The device can work normally while charging. Replacement of Battery Pack Manufacturer highly recommended to change the battery of the base unit for every 1 year at the AMI authorized service center. Use AMI recommended battery for replacement. Replacement procedure 1.  Switch off the base unit before removing the back cover for the battery replacement. 2.  Remove the single screw on the upper portion of the battery cover as shown below.

Press and remove the battery cover in the recommended direction as shown below.    4.  Disconnect the battery pack from the connector and replace with new one.     5.  Install the battery cover and fasten with the screw.     6.  Connect the base unit with AC adapter and then charge for more than twelve hours before use.
