User manual Item# BAR109 ® Bluetooth Wireless Music Receiver 1. Notice Before Using Thank you for purchasing the Bluetooth® Audio Receiver. Please read this User's Manual completely before you use the device. The Music Receiver is based on the advanced Bluetooth® wireless technology and compliant with Bluetooth V3.0+EDR specification. After paired to a Bluetooth® enable phone or other devices which built‐in Bluetooth® audio, it is available for music play with a universal earphone. The hands‐free function is also available for phone call conversation. 2. Package Contents List Please inspect this package and refer to the package contents list below to verify all items were included in this package: 1) BAR109 Bluetooth® Audio Receiver 2) USB Charging Cable 3) User's Manual 3. Bluetooth® Audio Receiver Overview 1 ‐ MFB 2 ‐ USB 3 ‐ LED 4 ‐ Microphone 5 ‐ 3.5mm Male Connector 4. Charging the battery The Music Receiver is operated with a rechargeable battery. Charge the battery completely before its first use. 1) Connect USB cable to a general USB power supplier. 2) The red indicator light will turn on while the charger is connected. Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hour. 3) The red indicator light will turn blue when the battery is fully charged. Disconnect the charger from the device and the outlet. NOTE: ‐ The fully charged battery has power for up to 6 hours of play‐time, and up to 240 hours of standby time. However, the talk and standby times may vary when used with different Bluetooth® devices, usage settings, usage styles, and environments. ‐ When the battery power is low, the Wireless Music Receiver will remind you by the "Beep" tone every 20 seconds, and the red indicator light starts to flash. ‐ To avoid a complete discharge of the battery, it should be charged at least every 3 months if leaving the device unused. 5. Pairing to your Bluetooth® phone Before you use Wireless Music Receiver the first time, you must pair the unit Bluetooth® device. Please follow the instruction to pair with a Bluetooth® enabled mobile phone. Pairing is a one‐time process and required only for the first connection with the cell phone. 1) Keep it within range of a Bluetooth®‐ready cell phone; the distance should not exceed 1 meter. 2) Hold the MFB button for approx. 5 seconds, the indicator light intermittently flashes red and blue. The device is in pairing mode. 3) Find the Bluetooth® setting of your cell phone and start the search for Bluetooth® devices. (For further details, please read the operating instructions of your cell phone). 4) From the list of devices found, select the "BAR109". 5) If required, enter the PIN code "0000" and confirm the entry. If the pairing process was successful, the indicator changes to flash blue. 6) After pairing, the music receiver will connect with the cell phone automatically. Note: If pairing is not completed within 2 minutes, the receiver will turn off automatically. Please repeat the pairing process if this happens. 6. Turning on /off Bluetooth® Wireless Music Receiver Turning on Press and hold MFB for 5 seconds to turn on the receiver. Connecting to a Bluetooth® phone If it has completed the pairing process successfully, it will connect to the phone you last connected automatically while it turns on. Please ensure your phone's Bluetooth® function is active. Turning off Press and hold MFB for 5 seconds to turn the receiver off. Note: To conserve power, if it is not connected to a device for approximately 10 minutes, it will turn off automatically. 7. Using the wireless music receiver Listen to the music Connect your earphone to the AUX port to listen to the music. Press MFB to play/pause the music. Answer a call When you receive an incoming call, press the MFB button shortly to answer the incoming call. The music will pause automatically while a call is dialed out/incoming, and resume when the conversation has ended. Ending a call Press the MFB button shortly to end a call. Last number re‐dialing In standby mode, double click MFB button to re‐dial the last number you dialed out. 8. If the device is exposed to water, moisture and other liquids do not operate it to avoid any electrical shock, explosion and damage to the device or yourself. Do not place or keep this device near any heat sources, such as, direct sunlight, radiators, stoves or other apparatus that produce heat. This may cause an explosion, degrade the performance and/or reduce battery life. 5) Do not modify, repair or disassemble device (Especially the battery). Doing this will void the warranty. 6) Do not place heavy objects on the device. 7) Use only the supplied and approved chargers. 8) Please contact the retailer for replacement or support with this product. 9) Unplug this device when unused for long periods of time or during lightening storms. 10) The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated.
