achieve the following actions:

Buttery Installation
When the bars in the battery indicator (in the display) become low (figure I), replace the
Jallery as follows
1. Click the button and opens the battery compartment door.
2. Insert the battery with the correct polarity as show.
3. Close The battery compartment door.
. BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
— To avoid battery leakage or corrosion, remove the battery from the player if the player is
not no he used for a long time.
- Remove dead battery from the player immediately to avoid damaging the player,
- When corrosion occurs, wipe the battery compartment immediately with a dry cloth and
insert anew battery.

USB DRIVER INSTALLATION
For Winduws ME, 2000 or XP:
These versions of Windows will automatically detect yourDAP aficr cementing with the
USB cable and the computer. (Please make sure the DA? is turned ON)
For Windows 98 SE:
Windows 9855 will not recognize the player until you have installed the driver using the
included installation CD-ROll/L Follow the detailed instructions in this section to activate the
USB mass storage function, so you will he able to transfer files from your computer to your
player
Installation Procedures for the Player Software
(For Windows 9881? only)
When connecting the player to the computer for the first time; please follow these
instructions:
1. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD Drive, The auto-mu program will display as shown

TRANSFERRING FILES
Connect the DAP by using the supplied USB cable to the computer. Press the 5 button to
turn the player ON. The following will be displayed on the display ofynur DAP:

A “Removable Disk“ will be added in My Computer, Open the “Removable Disk” folder:

Locate the files you wish to copy from your computer to your player. Drag and drop MPS,
WMA or WAV files on your computer into The “Removable Disk” folder. These files will
now be copied into your DAP.
Note: When you‘vare finishe-(l‘rrvla'rl-sl'eriring files, use the Safely Remove Hardware procedure 1
before disconnecting your playcri (Please see the next section for detailed instructions.) _ . __l

In order to download WMA files with DRM ynu must follow the procedure descn'bed below
Ifyou do nnt have “Windows Media Maya 9" on your computer, you must go to
www.Micmsofl.com to download and install this sofiwarc, Before beginning the prncedure
please turn the unit ON and connect the USE cabie tn the unit and to the USB pun ofyour
computer. _
1. Open the “Windows Media Player Browser,” and click on "Fools" in the menu bar. Then
click “Option-15m”.

2. Click the "Copy Music“ [ab and tick the option “Copy protect music” in order to copy a
DRM music file onto your unit. Click “OK” to save the selling.

LISTENING TO MUSIC
Aller you have transferred MP3, WMA or WAV files from the computer to the DAP player,
you can start listening to music while you learn how to use the rest of 1114: features
Insert the earphones into the earphone jack of the player; press the ‘I' button to turn the
player on. Use The nuvigation keys to forward; reverse‘ adjust the volume and access to
Navigation mod 0.
USING TITE MAIN MENU
Press the mode button to access the MAIN MENIL The following menu will be displayed:

MUSIC PLAYER
To listen to any files or songs stored in your DAP or run the Play Lisl: y0u can select the
MUSIC PLAYER mode.
Using Special Functions
Equalizer Mode (EQ)
The current equalizer mode is displayed in lhe lower right hand corner of lhe display n in a
rectangular block with a black background.
Changing the EQ mode ,_
— Press and hold the E013 button until the current mode is displayed with a clear
black background. Keep pressing the Egl‘; [ button repeatedly to select one ofthe
six equalizer modes:

— Stop pressing the 32/3 button when your desired selection is displuyed with a clear

Repeat Button
Press the IiQ/‘D button repeatedly to select different repeat mode options. As each mode is
selected, the following icons will displayed on the right upper part oflhc display:
Play all the files in the player once.
Randomly play all the tiles in the player once.
Randomly play all the files in the player continuously.
Plays a single file repeatedly.
Play all the files repeatedly in the oonsecutive order.
Edits and plays one section repeatedly. Press 31mg button mice to start with point
A FI‘ and press ii—Naviihutton again to end with point B Fl'fl.
Plays the play list once. (The play list must be created before using this function.)
Plays the play list repeatedly. (The pluy list must be created before using this function)
NAVIGATION
You may search for, listen to, and prom'am the play list in the Navigation made. Press the
»T| or the «1 button to highlight the Navigation.
Press the 0 gvi button to confirm and access in the Navigation menu.
All the files are cisplayed in the Root/ folder. Voice recorded files are Stotcd in the Voice!
fnlder.
Creating a play list
- Enter into the Navigation menu.
- Push |+ or E- button to highlight a desired song or file.
- Press the _EQ/'JE button; a number icon (01, 02 etc.) will be displayed next to that
song or f: e.
- Press the EQ/‘J button to confirm the song or file selection; the number icon will
disappear and the tile or the song will be added to the play list.
- Follow these steps with each file you would like to add to your play list.
- Press the NI button or idle a few second m exit from the Navigation menu.
| Note: You can only program the same file into the play list once.

Files can be deleted in the Browser Mode:

Customizing the Player
USING THE SETTING MENU
The Sefling Menu provides she options to change the player settings. disPIays, and resolution.
Press and hold the mode button to display the SETTING MENU on the display
Press the E or the |K__4] button to select one ufthc following setting options: Play List,
Recording Resolution, Contrast, Equalizer, Play Timer, Screen Saver, or Language. Once
your selection is highlighted then press O/Nuvi to confim-i.
