Setting up your Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 is an easy procedure. Simply:
Q. What stations can I use to transmit my audio?
A. The Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 transmits on the full spectrum of the FM band. So select any frequency with the least interference in your traveling area between 88.1MHz and 107.9MHz and tune in.
1. Insert the FM Transmitter AFT-100 into the automobile cigarette lighter or power socket. Firmly
push the unit securely into the socket.
2. Tune your car’s FM stereo to an unused FM frequency.
3. Plug the 3.5mm stereo cable into the Audio-Out connector or the headphone jack of the audio source
you wish to use.
4. Start your personal audio device. Your Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 will turn on instantly
when audio is detected. When there is no audio input for 30 seconds, the Mobile FM Transmitter AFT100 will turn off automatically.
5. Select the frequency from Step 2 above using the selector arrows (

Q. Does it matter how I plug in the Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100?
A. Yes. The top of the unit is marked with with the iRiver logo. The Memory Pre-set buttons should be
located at the bottom front when the unit is installed correctly.
Q. How can I achieve maximum performance and sound quality from Mobile FM Transmitter?
A. Before using the Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100, listen to the FM band and select a frequency with the
least amount of interference. The pre-set features allows you to mark and remember the 3 clearest stations for broadcasting in your traveling area. If you turn off the car or the unit, the memory feature will
bring you right back to where you left off. That eliminates your need to constantly adjust the station.
6. Adjust the volume on your audio player for maximum enjoyment. Best results will generally be
achieved if the volume level is not set above 50% of maximum.
7. Enjoy your music!
KEEP THE AUDIO LEVEL OF YOUR DEVICE AT 1/2 MAXIMUM VOLUME OR BELOW FOR PREMIUM AUDIO
TIP QUALITY. ONCE YOU HAVE TUNED INTO THE FREQUENCY AND BEGUN TRANSMITTING, ADJUST TO
MEET YOUR SOUND PREFERENCE.
* Some audio sources output level is either too high or too low at the line-out jack. If it is too high, the sound might be distorted.
If it is too low, the sound might be too noisy. If this happens, connect the Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 to the headphone
jack and adjust the volume level on your audio device.
FEATURES
INSTANT-ON, AUTO-OFF
The Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 turns on automatically when audio is detected. Once audio is
detected, the LCD display will light up, indicating that the unit is transmitting the audio signal. If after
30 seconds there is no detection of audio, the Mobile FM Transmitter AFT-100 will shut down and turn
off the display lights.

THE MOBILE FM TRANSMITTER AFT-100 PROVIDES 3 MEMORY PRESETS TO MAKE CHANGING

FREQUENCIES EASY AND CONVENIENT.
Find a radio frequency with little or no interference, and firmly depress one of the 3 small buttons on
the front of the unit, beneath the LCD display. Hold button until display lights on the transmitter blink,
typically 2-3 seconds. This will store the frequency into memory. A small indicator bar will appear on
display. As you discover additional frequencies throughout your traveling area, store up to 2 more utilizing the remaining buttons.
WHEN YOUR MOBILE FM TRANSMITTER AFT-100 IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, THE MEMORY
TIP FEATURE WILL CONVENIENTLY RETUNE TO THE FREQUENCY YOU WERE USING.
YOUR PERSONAL AUDIO DEVICE WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN. BE SURE TO POWER OFF
TIP YOUR PERSONAL DEVICE BEFORE EXITING YOUR VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOUR DEVICE OPERATES
ON BATTERY POWER.
