Page 41 of 53 Transceiver Adapter for the Alarm.com Image Sensor SKU: 2GIG-XCVR3-GC3 900 MHz Transceiver Adapter PRODUCT OVERVIEW The Model 2GIG-XCVR3-GC3 Transceiver Adapter is designed to be used with the 2GIG GC3 Security & Automation panel. The Transceiver Adapter is a single frequency device. It receives and transmits 900MHz signals to and from the Alarm.com Image Sensor (2GIG-IMAGE2-GC3). To use an Alarm.com Image Sensor with the GC3 panel, the Transceiver Adapter must be wired into the control panel. PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY The 2GIG GC3 panel must be running firmware version 3.0.1 or later to function with the Transceiver Adapter. To check the current version number of the firmware, go to the home screen of the GC3 panel and navigate to System Info and Usage > System Info. 3. Insert the Transceiver Adapter into the Wall Insert the Transceiver Adapter into the wall or as far away from the GC3 panel as possible. This ensures optimum signal strength. 4. Ensure Cellular Radio is Installed Make sure the cell radio is fully inserted into the cell slot and the cell door is securely closed. 5. Reconnect Power a. After the Transceiver Adapter has been installed, re-connect the backup battery cable. b. Reattach the back cover to the GC3 panel and plug in the AC power supply. If the GC3 panel is running a firmware version earlier than 3.0.1, you should contact Technical Support for assistance in performing an over-theair or local firmware upgrade. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Disconnect Power (Do Not Proceed Until this Step is Complete) a. Unplug the AC power supply. b. Remove the back cover from the control panel and disconnect the backup battery cable. TROUBLESHOOTING 2. Wire the Transceiver Adapter to the GC3 Panel Red: Smoke + Black: Common (GND) Green: RX White: TX If you are unable to successfully add an Image Sensor to an Alarm.com customer account, follow the recommendations below and try again: • Ensure the GC3 panel is running the required firmware Smoke - PWR + Smoke + PWR - OCL2 GND OCL1 BELL + RX BELL - TX Zone1 Zone2 • Double check that the Transceiver Adapter has been wired correctly to the GC3 panel Limited Warranty This Nortek Security & Control product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship of two (2) years. This warranty extends only to wholesale customers who buy direct from Nortek Security & Control LLC or through Nortek Security & Control LLC’s normal distribution channels.
