Quick Start Guide
Connecting Your Device
1. Plug a standard telephone cable into the RJ11 port and plug the other end into your home
phone jack.
2. Plug the power adapter into your device and then into a power outlet.
The Power light should be solidly lit and the Wi-Fi light should be flashing, indicating your device is ready
for set up.
Go to the companion app to complete set up.
Configure the Companion App
To use your device, you must have a supported device. If you have recently purchased one, please set it
up prior to proceeding.
1. Set up calling and messaging in the companion app. If you have already done so, skip to the next
step.
2. Go to the companion app on your mobile phone. Go to Settings > Set up a new device. During
setup, you will need to connect your device to the Internet, so you will need your Wi-Fi
password.
Safety and Compliance Information
Using Your Device Around Other Electronic Devices
The Device, uses, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its
instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF
signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems,
entertainment systems, and personal medical devices.
While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with
the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with
your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF
signals.
There are some places where RF signals could constitute a hazard, such as health care facilities, and
construction sites. If you are not sure, look around for signs indicating that two-way radios or mobile
phones should be turned off.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,
pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference in a residential installation.

U.S. FCC Part 68 Information
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. The
unit bears a label on the back which contains among other information a product identifier in the format
US: V64W404AA05B83. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company. This
equipment uses the following standard jack type for network connection: RJ11C.
This equipment contains an FCC compliant modular jack. It is designed to be connected to the telephone
network or premises wiring using compatible modular plugs and cabling which comply with the
applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. The Ringer Equivalence Number, or
REN, is used to determine the number of devices which may be connected to a telephone line. Excessive
RENs on a telephone line may cause the equipment not to ring in response to an incoming call. In most
but not all areas, the sum of the RENs of all equipment on a line should not exceed five (5.0). To be
certain of the number of devices that may be connect to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact
the local telephone company. The REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the
format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. In the event that this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the
telephone company can temporarily disconnect your service. The telephone company will try to warn
you in advance of any such disconnection, but if advance notice isn’t practical, it may disconnect the
service first and notify you as soon as possible.
From time to time, the telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, or operations
which could affect the operation of this equipment. If this occurs, the telephone company will provide
you with advance notice so you can make the modifications necessary to obtain uninterrupted service.

for repair or warranty information. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network, the
telephone company may request that you disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved. If
your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation
of this device does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable
alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a computer or
other electronic device, including FAX machines, to send any message via a telephone unless such
message clearly contains, in a margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or on the first page
of the transmission, the date and time it is sent and an identification of the business, other entity, or
individual sending the message and the telephone number of the sending machine or of such business,
other entity, or individual. The telephone number provided may not be a 900 number or any other
number for which charges exceed local or long-distance transmission charges. This equipment cannot be
used on public coin phone service provided by the telephone company. Connection to Party Line Service
is subject to state tariffs. Contact your state public utility commission, public service commission, or
corporation commission for more information.
Information Regarding Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy
The output power of the radio technology used in the Device is below the radio frequency exposure
limits set by the FCC. This device should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm
between the radiator and your body.
