Setting up
Run the Zolo Play app, tap [Add Device] or "+" on "DEVICE LIST" to start Wi-Fi setup. Always
follow the instructions in the app to complete Wi-Fi setup.
* (Wi-Fi name) varies when connecting
to a dierent Wi-Fi network.
Connecting to Power Supply
Plug the supplied power adaptor into Zolo
Halo and then into a power outlet.
Zolo Halo will automatically turn on and the
power LED will light on.
Downloading the Zolo Play App
What you need:
•A Wi-Fi router supporting the 2.4 GHz and
802.11 b/g/n bands; 5 GHz band not supported.
•A smartphone or tablet connected to a Wi-Fi
network.
•A smartphone or tablet running iOS 9.0 (or
above) or Android 6.0 (or above).
Download the free app from the App Store
(iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
Zolo Play

You can connect Zolo to an external speaker
with a 3.5mm AUX cable (not supplied).
For best performance, make sure the external
speaker is placed as far away from Zolo Halo
as possible.
Bluetooth Pairing
With Zolo Halo, you can enjoy audio and
make calls from Bluetooth-enabled devices.

[Zolo Halo] to start pairing and connection.

Talking to Zolo Halo
You can talk to Amazon Alexa on your Zolo Halo. With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear
the news, check weather, control smart home devices, and more.
① From the home page of Zolo Play app, tap [Amazon Alexa]. Sign in with your Amazon
account to use Alexa voice control. If you do not have an Amazon account, create a new one.
②Always say the wake up word “Alexa” rst and then your request.
Zolo Halo will respond instantly.
To learn what are proper commands to ask Alexa, see the “Things to Try” instructions at
the end of this manual.
To explore more Things to Try with Alexa, go to www.amazon.com/MeetAlexa and
download the Amazon Alexa app on your iOS or Android device.
Online Resources
To enjoy various music services in Zolo Play App, go to the home page, select from the listed
services and do as the instructions.
Multi-room Mode Playback
Go to the “DEVICE LIST” page in Zolo Play app, follow the instructions to switch between
multi-room mode and solo mode.

Troubleshooting
① Zolo Halo does not respond.
•Use the supplied adaptor to connect it to a power supply.
•Press the Alexa button to see if Zolo Halo responds to your requests.
②Zolo Halo cannot connect to my Wi-Fi network.
•Replug in the adaptor to restart. Follow the instructions in the app to complete Wi-Fi setup.
③ There is no response after I give voice commands.
•Make sure you have set up a Wi-Fi connection between Zolo Halo and your device.
•Check whether you use the proper commands when talking to Alexa. Always say the
wake up word “Alexa” rst when making any request. For details, see the “Things to
Try” instructions at the end of this manual.
•Repeat your question. Speak naturally and clearly in English.
•Make sure Zolo Halo is at least 8 inches away from walls or other objects that may
cause interference (such as microwave ovens).
•Check whether there are any Internet connection problems.
•Check whether you have muted the microphone on Zolo Halo.
④When using services provided by third parties (such as listening to music, controlling smart

•No. It will automatically upgrade when new version is detected. When upgrading, you
will see orange LED ring breathing, please do not operate.
