Connecting to Power Supply
Setting up
Plug the supplied power adaptor into Zolo
Halo and then into a power outlet.
Zolo Halo will automatically turn on and the
power LED will light on.
Run the Zolo Play app, tap [Add Device] or "+" on "DEVICE LIST" to start Wi-Fi setup. Always
follow the instructions in the app to complete Wi-Fi setup.

802.11 b/g/n bands; 5 GHz band not supported.
•• A smartphone or tablet connected to a Wi-Fi

Download the free app from the App Store

Talking to Zolo Halo
Connecting to an External Speaker
You can talk to Amazon Alexa on your Zolo Halo. With Alexa, you can ask to play music, hear
the news, check weather, control smart home devices, and more.
You can connect Zolo to an external speaker
with a 3.5mm AUX cable (not supplied).
① From the home page of Zolo Play app, tap [Amazon Alexa]. Sign in with your Amazon
account to use Alexa voice control. If you do not have an Amazon account, create a new one.
For best performance, make sure the external
speaker is placed as far away from Zolo Halo
as possible.
② Always say the wake up word “Alexa” first and then your request.
Zolo Halo will respond instantly.
To learn what are proper commands to ask Alexa, see the “Things to Try” instructions at
the end of this manual.

download the Amazon Alexa app on your iOS or Android device.
Online Resources
To enjoy various music services in Zolo Play App, go to the home page, select from the listed
services and do as the instructions.
Multi-room Mode Playback
Go to the “DEVICE LIST” page in Zolo Play app, follow the instructions to switch between
multi-room mode and solo mode.

② Zolo Halo cannot connect to my Wi-Fi network.
•• Replug in the adaptor to restart. Follow the instructions in the app to complete Wi-Fi setup.
③ There is no response after I give voice commands.
•• Make sure you have set up a Wi-Fi connection between Zolo Halo and your device.
•• Check whether you use the proper commands when talking to Alexa. Always say the
wake up word “Alexa” first when making any request. For details, see the “Things to
Try” instructions at the end of this manual.
•• Repeat your question. Speak naturally and clearly in English.
•• Make sure Zolo Halo is at least 8 inches away from walls or other objects that may
cause interference (such as microwave ovens).
•• Check whether there are any Internet connection problems.
•• Check whether you have muted the microphone on Zolo Halo.
④ When using services provided by third parties (such as listening to music, controlling smart
devices, etc.), a voice prompt will ask me to login to its account and get authorization from

•• Download and run the Alexa app, and then log in to your Amazon account. Find "Skills"
from the menu, search for your desired skill, and then follow the on-screen instructions
to enable the skill.
⑤ Do I need to upgrade the software of Zolo Halo manually?
•• No. It will automatically upgrade when new version is detected. When upgrading, you
will see orange LED ring breathing, please do not operate.
