1. Plug the CM17A into your computer’s serial port2. If something was already plugged into this port,plug it into the CM17A.3. Insert the X-10 disk into drive A and run the Setupprogram to install the software.4. Run the X-10 application.5. The receiver then passes the signals onto yourhouse wiring to control lights or appliances around your home. You plug lights and appliances into X-10 Modules(sold separately).F.C.C. To brighten or dim lights connected to X-10 LampModules and Wall Switch Modules, first press thecorresponding number button, then click the UPor DOWN (blue) buttons.
