Pan ‘n Tilt Remote For use with X10 wireless cameras Model CM14A Installation and operating instructions The CR14A Remote lets you turn on any of 4 cameras or scan each of them in turn (forward or backward) so as to display the image from each camera in turn on your TV. If you purchase a Camera Pan and Tilt base (model ZC15A) for each camera, you can also use the remote to move the position of the camera from left to right (Pan) and up and down (Tilt). The Remote sends Wireless Radio Frequency (RF) signals to an X10 Transceiver (RR501 or TM751). The Transceiver then passes the signals onto your house wiring to control Wireless Cameras around your home. You connect each camera (up to 4) to a ZC15A base and plug each ZC15A into Addressable Power Supplies each set to a different number. The CR14A normally controls Cameras set to Unit Codes 1, 2, 3, 4. But you can set it to control cameras set to 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13, 14, 15, 16. 1. Install 4 AAA alkaline batteries (sold separately) in the remote’s battery compartment. 2. Use a dime to set the Housecode dial to match the cameras, and transceiver you want to use the remote with. 3. Plug in an X10 Transceiver (RR501 or TM751, sold separately). Set Housecode to match remote. Fully extend the antenna. 4. To control up to 4 Cameras, attach each one to a ZC15A Pan and Tilt base (sold separately), plug each ZC15A into its own Addressable Power Supply, and set each power supply to the same Housecode you used in steps 2 and 3. Set each power supply to a unique number between 1 and 4. Pressing any Camera button (C1, C2, C3, or C4) turns on that camera (1, 2, 3, or 4) and turns the others (in the group) off. Then, each press of either the or button turns on the next or previous camera in the group of 4 while turning the current camera off. (You set all cameras to the same channel as the Video Receiver connected to your TV (Channel A, B, C, D). 5. After you press the "C" button to turn on a camera, pressing a left or right BLUE button at the top “pans” the camera left or right. Pressing a BLUE up or down button “tilts” the camera up or down. 6. To make buttons C1 thru C4 control cameras 5-8 (instead of 1 thru 4) press (and hold) the C2 button then flip the switch at the bottom from Normal to Program and back. Buttons C1, C2, C3, and C4 now control cameras set to 5, 6, 7, and 8. 7. Pressing C3 in step 6 sets buttons C1, C2, C3, and C4 to control cameras set to 9, 10, 11, and 12. 8. Pressing C4 in step 6 sets buttons C1, C2, C3, and C4 to control cameras set to 13, 14, 15, and 16.
