Find One Find All (FOFA) Keyfob, Model K24945 Your FOFA Keyfob requires only 3 simple steps to begin using it: 1. Insert the battery. 2. Program the FOFA. 3. Attach FOFA to an item. P 1/2 The FOFA Keyfob will beep and immediately go into setup mode. The LED will begin flashing to indicate that the FOFA Keyfob is ready to be programmed. Please see step 2, Programming your FOFA Keyfob. 2. Programming your FOFA Keyfob FOFA locators are expandable to 36 unique locators. How is this possible with only 6 buttons? You have 6 sets of 6 items. This gives you the flexibility to customize your FOFA locators so that each person in the family has a different set of FOFA’s. To set the FOFA Keyfob, you must first decide on the “SET” number and the “ITEM” number of each FOFA. Most first-time users select SET 1 and ITEMS 1-6. P 2/2 3. Attaching the FOFA Care Instructions Each FOFA Keyfob includes a key ring. In addition, a plastic lanyard and doublesided tape can also be used to attach FOFA Keyfob to any object that you could lose. - Do not allow FOFA to become wet. Wipe dry immediately if it gets wet. - FOFA may be wiped with a damp cloth to clean. - Handle FOFA with care. Do not drop. Using the FOFA Keyfob to Find Lost Items The FCC wants you to know The FOFA Keyfob will beep to confirm your settings. The FOFA Keyfob beeps the number corresponding to the SET # and then, after a brief pause, beeps the number of times corresponding to the ITEM #. To find an object with a missing FOFA Keyfob attached, simply locate one of your other FOFA Keyfobs and press the key corresponding to the missing unit in that set. If the object is in range, the FOFA Keyfob on the missing object will begin to flash and beep. You can use any FOFA Keyfob to locate any other FOFA Keyfob; hence the name, Find One, Find All! To program FOFA Keyfob as Set 2, Item 5, for example, you would: To find a missing item in another set of FOFAs, you will need to reprogram one of your FOFA Keyfobs to that set. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used properly, that is, in strict accordance with the manufacturers instructions, it may cause interference to radio and television reception. It has been type tested and found to comply with the limits for remote control devices in accordance with the specifications in Sub-Parts B and C of Part 15 of FCC Rules, which are designed to provide reasonable protection against such interference in a residential installation. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by unplugging the equipment, try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures. If you just inserted the battery, you are already in setup mode. To enter the setup mode at any other time, press and hold the 1 and 3 buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds. The FOFA Keyfob is in setup mode when the LED flashes continuously and a warble beep is emitted. To set: 1. Insert the Battery Your FOFA Keyfob comes with one CR2032 type battery. To install the battery: • Open the battery compartment on the back • Insert the battery with the “+” (positive) side up. • Close the battery compartment Find One Find All (FOFA) Keyfob, Model K24945 • Press the button (1 thru 6) to program the SET#. The FOFA Keyfob will beep and the LED will flash more quickly. • Press the button (1 thru 6) to program the ITEM#. • Press 2. This programs the SET number to 2. The LED flashes quickly. • Press 5. This programs the ITEM number to 5. The FOFA Keyfob beeps and flashes 2 times, pauses, and then beeps 5 times to confirm the setting. For best results, hold the FOFA Keyfob with the LED pointing away from you. Walk around while trying to find the item you’re looking for while repeatedly pressing the appropriate button on the FOFA Keyfob. Reduce or eliminate noises so you can hear the beeping FOFA Keyfob you are looking for. Important Notes: Removing the battery will cause your FOFA Keyfob to lose its setting. You will need to reprogram it using the steps above. If you do not program the FOFA Keyfob, it will respond to every key press from another FOFA unit. However, the unprogrammed FOFA Keyfob will enter setup mode when you press any button on it. FOFA K24945 1-2 Keep the FOFA Keyfob away from large metal objects and other radios sources that might reduce its range, as do weak batteries also. Checking Your Setup You can verify the SET and ITEM numbers of each FOFA Keyfob at any time. Press and hold the 5 and 6 keys simultaneously, then release. The LED flashes and beeps first to indicate the SET number, pauses, and then flashes and beeps to indicate the ITEM number. For example, if the FOFA Keyfob you are checking is defined as SET 1, ITEM 2, you would hear 1 beep, a pause, then 2 more beeps. • Reorient the antenna of the radio/TV experiencing the interference. • Relocate the equipment with respect to the radio/TV. • Move the equipment away from the radio/TV. • Plug the equipment into an outlet on a different electrical circuit from the radio/TV experiencing the interference. • If necessary, consult your local dealer for additional suggestions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment.
