Fasteners

Makesurethat all screws,nuts,and boltsare properlytightened.
Neverover-tightenhardwarethat is designedto move,suchas front
wheels,spindles,A-arm pivots,etc. Restrictingmovingparts can
causea lossof controland possibleinjuryor death.
Alwaysreplacetorque-typeIocknutswith newIocknutsof thesame
typeafterremovingthe old Iocknuts.

Fueling
•

Checkthefuel supplybeforeeachuse. Never fill thefuel tankwhile
theengineis runningor hot.Alwaysallowat least1in.of expansion
spaceat thetop ofthe fuel tank.Thereshouldnot be anyfuel in the
filler neck.Replacethe fuel captightlyafterrefuelingto preventa
fuel spillage,fire, or explosionhazard.
Alwaysuse an originalgas capor an approvedOEMreplacement.
Neverfill fuel tankwhile thevehicleis insidea building.Gasoline
vaporscan causeinjuryor deathand can posea fire or explosion

Maintenance

Neverwash or operatethevehiclein freezing temperatures.Water
canfreeze in thethrottlecableconduitand/oron thethrottle
mechanism,possiblyresultingin throttlesticking,whichcancause

Assembly,maintenance,and/orrepairof thisvehicleshouldonlybe
performedbydesignateddealersor authorizedsmall-enginerepair
centersfor enginerepairsto ensurequality work and safevehicle
condition.
Alwaysdisconnectthespark plugwire (gasolinevehicles)or shut
offthe batteries(electricvehicles)beforecommencinganywork in
theenginevicinityor wherethere is a possibilitythatthe vehicle
couldmoveunexpectedly.Keepthe sparkplug cableawayform the
sparkplugto avoidaccidentalstarting.

scooterwill disengagethe automaticchoke.The scooterwill not start.
NOTE:Startingscooterthefirst timewilltake longerbecausefuel needsto
reachthe carburetor.

2. Checkoil level,add oil if needed.
3. Lift up side kickstand.NOTE:Enqinewill "turn over"butwill not startif
side kickstandis in the "DOWN" position.
4. Turnignitionkey to "ON" position.
5. Turnhandlebarswitchto "ON" position.
6. Pullin left handbrake lever.NOTE:Enqinewill not startif left handbrake
lever isnot pulledin.

scooterbeginsmoving.
Neverattachany articlesto the handlebar.Stowany cargoon the luggage
rackor in the under-seatstoragebox.Do not carry cargoweighingmorethan

withan internallubricatingsystem.

The main ignitionswitchcontainsthreepositions:

systemwarrantyor the standardwarrantyis the responsibilityofthe owner.
Coverageof repairs under this warranty applies onlywhen repairs are completed at an authorized
dealer or repair facility. The Distributor will not cover repairs performed outside of an authorized dealer
or repair facility, except in an emergency situation. The use of replacement parts not equivalent to
the original parts may impair the effectiveness of your vehicle's emission control system. If such a
replacement part is used and an authorized dealer determines it is defective or causes a failure of a
warranted part, your claim for repair to bring your vehicle into compliance with applicable standards
may be denied.

Ifanemergencysituationexistswhen a warranted part or a dealer is not reasonablyavailableto the
owner,repairsmay he performedat any availableservice establishment,or by the owner,usingany
replacementpart. The Distributorshall reimbursethe ownerforthe expenses,includingdiagnostic
charges,notto exceedthe Distributor'ssuggestedretail priceforall warrantedparts replacedand
labor chargesbasedon the Distributor'srecommendtimeallowancefor thewarranty repairandthe
geographicallyappropriatehourlylabor rate. Theowner may reasonablyhe requiredto keep receipts
andfailed parts in orderto receive compensation.
ThisEmissionControlSystemWarrantyis in additionto the standardLimitedWarranty.
EXCLUSIONSAND LIMITATIONS
Thiswarrantydoes notcoverthe following:

Failuresor malfunctionsofthe emissioncontrolsystemscausedby abuse,alteration,accident,misuse,the use of leadedgasoline.
•
Replacementof expendablemaintenanceitems unlesstheyare originalequipmentdefective
in materialor workmanshipundernormaluse, andthefirst requiredreplacementintervalfor the item
has not beenreached. Expendablemaintenanceitems includehut not limitedto spark plugs,filters,
coolant,lubricants,gaskets,hoses,and belts.
•
Replacements of parts and other servicesand adjustments for required maintenance.
•
Any vehicleequippedwith an odometeror hourmeterwhere the reading is alteredso that
actual mileagecannothe readilydetermined.
•
Repairsor replacementsas a resultof:

Accident
o
Misuse
o
Use of replacementparts or accessoriesnot conformingto theoriginal specificationswhich
adverselyaffectperformance
•
Physicaldamage,corrosion,or defectscausedby fire, explosionsor similarcausesbeyond
the controlofthe Distributor.
•

Failuresnot causedby a defect in materialor workmanship.

Use ofthe vehicle in any typeof competitiveracingor relatedevents immediatelyand completelyvoids
thisand all otherwarranties.
LIMITEDLIABILITY
Theliability ofthe DistributorunderthisEmissionControlSystemWarrantyis limitedsolelyto the
remedyingof defectsin materialworkmanshipby an authorizeddealer at its placeof businessduring
customarybusinesshours.Thiswarrantydoes not coverinconvenienceor loss of use of thevehicle
or transportationof the vehicleto/fromthe authorizeddealer.The Distributoris not liableto any person
for incidental,consequentialor specialdamagesof any description,whetherarising out of expressor
impliedwarranty or any othercontract,negligenceor othertortor otherwise.
No expressemissioncontrolsystemwarranty is given by the Distributorexceptas specificallyset forth
herein. Any emissioncontrolsystemwarranty impliedby law, includingany warrantyof merchantability or fitnessfora particularpurposeis limitedto the expressemissioncontrolsystemwarranty
termsstated in thiswarranty. Theforegoing statementsof warrantyare exclusiveand in lieu of all
otherremedies. All expresswarrantiesnot statedin this warrantyare disclaimed. Some states do not
allowlimitationson how longan impliedwarranty lasts,so the above limitationsmay not apply if it is
inconsistentwith the controllingstate law.
