Alwaysreplacetorque-typeIocknutswith newIocknutsof thesame
typeafterremovingthe old Iocknuts.

Alwaysdisconnectthesparkplugwire(gasolinevehicles)or shut

•Neveraddoilto thegasoline;your scooterusesa 4-strokeengine
withan internallubricatingsystem.

Youremission control systemwarrantycovers components whose failure would increasean engine's
emission,includingelectroniccontrols,fuel injectionsystem,carburetor,the ignitionsystem,catalytic
converter,oranyother systemutilizedinthisvehicle to controlemissionif it isoriginallyequipped.
Alsoincludedmay behoses,connectorsandother emission-relatedassemblies. Replacingor repair-
ing othercomponents(includingparts,labor,andothercosts) not coveredbythis emissioncontrol
systemwarrantyor the standardwarrantyisthe responsibilityofthe owner.
Coverageof repairs under this warrantyapplies onlywhen repairs are completed at an authorized
dealer or repair facility. The Distributor will not cover repairs performed outside of an authorized dealer
or repair facility, except in an emergency situation. The use of replacement parts not equivalent to
the original parts may impair the effectiveness of your vehicle's emission control system. If such a
replacement part is used and an authorized dealer determines it is defective or causes a failure of a
warranted part, your claim for repair to bring your vehicle into compliance with applicable standards
may be denied.

Ifanemergencysituationexistswhen a warranted partor adealer is not reasonablyavailableto the
owner,repairsmay he performedatany availableserviceestablishment,or bythe owner,usingany
replacementpart. The Distributorshallreimbursethe ownerforthe expenses,includingdiagnostic
charges,notto exceedthe Distributor'ssuggestedretail priceforall warrantedparts replacedand
laborchargesbasedon the Distributor'srecommendtimeallowancefor thewarrantyrepairandthe
geographicallyappropriatehourlylaborrate. Theowner mayreasonablyhe requiredto keepreceipts
andfailedpartsin orderto receivecompensation.
ThisEmissionControlSystemWarrantyis inadditionto the standardLimitedWarranty.
EXCLUSIONSANDLIMITATIONS
Thiswarrantydoes notcoverthe following:
•Failuresor malfunctionsofthe emissioncontrolsystemscausedby abuse,alteration,ac-
cident,misuse,the useof leadedgasoline.
•Replacementof expendablemaintenanceitemsunlesstheyare originalequipmentdefective
in materialorworkmanshipundernormaluse,andthefirst requiredreplacementintervalfor the item
hasnot beenreached. Expendablemaintenanceitemsincludehut notlimitedto spark plugs,filters,
coolant,lubricants,gaskets,hoses,and belts.
• Replacements of parts and other servicesand adjustments for required maintenance.
•Anyvehicleequippedwith anodometeror hourmeterwherethe reading is alteredsothat
actualmileagecannothe readilydetermined.
•Repairsorreplacementsas a resultof:
o Accident
o Misuse
o Use of replacementparts or accessoriesnot conformingto theoriginalspecificationswhich
adverselyaffectperformance
•Physicaldamage,corrosion,or defectscausedbyfire, explosionsorsimilarcausesbeyond
the controlofthe Distributor.
•Failuresnot causedby a defect inmaterialorworkmanship.
Use ofthe vehicle in anytypeof competitiveracingor relatedeventsimmediatelyand completelyvoids
thisand all otherwarranties.
LIMITEDLIABILITY
Theliability ofthe DistributorunderthisEmissionControlSystemWarrantyis limitedsolelyto the
remedyingof defectsinmaterialworkmanshipbyanauthorizeddealer atits placeof businessduring
customarybusinesshours.Thiswarrantydoes notcoverinconvenienceor lossof use of thevehicle
ortransportationof the vehicleto/fromthe authorizeddealer.The Distributorisnotliableto anyperson
for incidental,consequentialor specialdamagesof anydescription,whetherarising outof expressor
impliedwarrantyoranyothercontract,negligenceor othertortor otherwise.
Noexpressemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyis givenby the Distributorexceptas specificallysetforth
herein.Any emissioncontrolsystemwarrantyimpliedbylaw,includinganywarrantyof merchant-
abilityor fitnessfora particularpurposeis limitedto the expressemissioncontrolsystemwarranty
termsstated inthiswarranty. Theforegoingstatementsof warrantyare exclusiveand in lieuof all
otherremedies. Allexpresswarrantiesnot statedinthis warrantyare disclaimed.Some statesdo not
allowlimitationson howlongan impliedwarrantylasts,sothe abovelimitationsmay not applyif it is
inconsistentwiththe controllingstate law.
