This Product can be used as audio accessory for devices supporting either the headset and hands-free Bluetooth profiles. Bluetooth is a trademark owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and is used by the manufacturer under its lincense term. Charging 1. Plug the Mini USB 5pin connector of the charging cable into the charging port located on the side of BHF-100. 2. Charge BHF-100 through; ① Personal computer USB port You can charge BHF-100 directly from your PC or MAC by plugging the USB end of the charging cable into a USB port in your personal computer. ② Cigar jack USB adapter (An optional item) Plug the cigar jack of the adapter into a car outlet. [Optional item] Sun visor USB Charging Clip Cable Action The BHF-100 is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery pack. You must charge the battery fully before using the BHF-100 for the first time. Included in package BnCOM BHF-100 Power on / off User manual Cigar Jack USB Adapter 4. Using your handset, find the ‘Bluetooth menu’ and ‘search for’ or ‘add’ new device. Tone / Voice 5. Select ‘BHF-100’ from the list of devices and pair it with your handset. LED indication Power on Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds. You will hear melody as the power is turned on. Blue LED blinks 5 times. Power off Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds. You will hear melody as the power is turned off. Red LED is on for 2 seconds and then turns off. NOTE Parts description Installing in car 2. You will hear the melody indicating that the power is on. After that, you will hear the short beep. Multi Function Button (MFB) MIC To install the BHF-100 in your car, first place the metal visor clip onto the back of the BHF-100, then secure Alpine DCS-BT1 to the sun visor in your car as shown below. LED indicator 3. When pariring mode, The Blue LED indicator blinking rapidly. Mini USB 5pin connector PC USB Port Reset Charging Port Speaker [Low battery indication] When the battery is nearly depleted in either active or stand by mode, ① BHF-100 will make a beep sound three times every 30 seconds and ② the Red LED light will flash twice every 4 seconds. Volume Button NOTE In order for all the functions of the BHF-100 to be available, pair the BHF-100 in the handsfree mode. Paired in headset mode some functions are restricted.Actual use Call waiting Making a call Answer a second call without hanging up the first call by pressing the MFB(Multi Function Button) for 1 second. 1. Making a call After entering the telephone number, press the MFB(Multi Function Button) briefly. 2. Last number redial Press and hold the MFB for 1 second to activate last number redial. (Some handset will show the list of calls.) Tip This function is not available in the headset mode. Transferring a call 3. Voice dialing Briefly press the MFB to activated 'voice command'. Tip Input Password 1. While the power is turned off, press and hold the MFB(Multi Function Button) for 6 seconds. Red [Optional item] Search Device 7. If pairing was successful. The Blue LED indicator blinks 2 times every 5 seconds. Pairing 4. When charging is complete, the Red LED lihgt will turn off. It takes about 3hours to charge a fully depleted battery of BHF-100. BHF-100 The method of pairing or screen indication may be different depending on the handset model. 6. When asked for the Pass/PIN code during the pairing procedure, please enter ‘0000’ 3. While charging the Red LED light will turn on. Search Device While on a call briefly press the MFB(Multi Function Button) for transferring the audio to the headset. Your handset must support the ‘voice dial’ function. Tip Answering a call Pressing too long may cause turning off the headset. When the BHF-100 and your handset are separated by a distance of 33 feet(10meters) or more, the BHF-100 will operate in “stand-by” mode. Ending a call This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. Changes or modifi cations not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, the device and the antenna for this device must be installed to ensure a minimum separation distance of 20 cm or more from a person’s body. Other operating confi gurations should be avoided. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. at the moment when the distance between BHF-100 and the mobile phone is above the operation range(33feets). Safty Briefly press the MFB(Multi Function Button) or handset end key. Volume control 1. CAUTION Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. 2. Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
