Operation
Before you clean
1. If desired,movefurniture to anotherarea if
cleaningan entireroom.

Vacuumareawith a dry vacuumcleaner
beforecleaning
Planyour cleaning routeto leavean exit
path. It is bestto begincleaningthe corner
farthest from your exit
Fill the clean/solution tank

machineby pullingupandoutfromthe back.
Youcanalso detentthe handleandpull the
tank straightupif youdesire.
Unscrewthe blackcapandredinsert,Remove.
Fillthetankupto the FILLLINEwithhot
tap water.
Add 3 ounces of formula (Alwaysuse
genuineBISSELLformulas to maximize
cleaningandfor the safetyof your machine).
OR If using a BISSELL3XConcentrate
add 1 ounce of formula.
Replacethe cap and insert andtighten by
turning clockwise.
Replacethe clean/solutiontank backinto the
machine.Be sure that the cap is seatedin
the receiver.
Carpetcleaning
1. Makesure the ReadyToolsDialis in the
FLOORCLEANINGposition.
2. Plugthe PROdryintothe properoutlet and
turn the powerON( I ) usingthe switch inthe
back.
3, Withyourfoot, pressthe gray handlerelease
leverlocated onthe backof
the unit.Takecareto noticethe waythe
machinefloats forward.
4, Whilepressingthe spraytrigger make 1
forward wet pass and another1 back.
Repeatonce and moveonto the next
sectionof carpet or arearug to be cleaned.
Takecare notto run over looseobjectsof
the edgesof arearugs.

Removedirty water tank by lifting straight up
andcarry it to the sink or whereveryou planto
dumpthe dirty water.
3. Removethe tetheredcap on the rearof
thetank.
4. Pouroutmedirtywater,rinsetankandreplace
thecap.

Maintenanceandcare
Cleaning/replacingthe TLR Power Roller
1. Turnpowerswitch to OFF(O) and unplug
the machine.
2, Removebothtanks, detentthe handleand
turn the machineonits back.
3. Removethe 6 screws fromthe sole plate
usinga Phillipshead screwdriver,set 6
screws and sole plateaside.
4. Turnthe machineon itsside so the cord side
is againstthe floor.
5. Removethe 2 screws fromthe belt guard
and set aside
Note:These2 screws are the sameas the 6
sole platescrews).
Removethe top of the belt guard.
6. Unhookthe belt from theTLRPowerRoller
and slidethe rollerdownthroughthe hole
in the beltguard bottom.Slidethe roller up 6.
off the metal dowel (which is attachedto the
swing arm).
7. CleantheTLRPowerRollerby rinsing with
hot water and mild soap.Allow to dry before
replacingif desired.
8. Toreplace,slidethe TLRPowerRolleron to
the metal dowel with the taller cog at the
top. Pushthe taller cog of the roller backup 8a.
throughthe hole in the beltguard bottom
and re-attach the belt.Placethe belt guard
top into positionoverthe bottom half and
tightentogetherwith 2 screws.
9. Turnthe machineonto its backand
attach the secondswing arm. Be sure the
arm is properlyin placeboth ontheTLR
PowerRollerand in the base. Pushthe TLR
PowerRollerdown so it is nestedunderthe
nozzle. 8c.
10. Re-attachthe sole plate usingthe 6 screws.
Machine storage
Putthe unit away in a closetor basementfor
the next use.Storecleanerin a protected,dry
area.Sincethis product useswater, it must not
be storedwhere there is a danger of freezing.
Freezingwill damageinternal componentsand
voidthewarranty.
