and securewith 2 screws.

Attach upperhosewrap using 2 screws.

Wraphoseclockwisearoundthe upperand
lower hosewraps as shown on page 4. Be
sure to properlysecure grip into the notched
holder.

Keephoselocked in place with the
secure latch.

Wrapthe power cord as shown on page 4.

Before you clean
1.

If desired,movefurniture to anotherarea if
cleaningan entire room.

Vacuum area with a dry vacuumcleaner
beforecleaning

path. It is best to begincleaningthe corner
farthest from your exit

Fill the clean/solution tank
Removethe clean/solutionfrom the baseof the
machineby pullingup andout from the back.
Youcanalso detentthe handleandpull the
tank straightup if youdesire.

Unscrewthe blackcapandredinsert,Remove.

Fillthetankupto the FILLLINEwith hot
tap water.

4,

Add 3 ounces of formula (Alwaysuse
genuineBISSELLformulas to maximize
cleaningandfor the safetyof your machine).
OR If using a BISSELL3X Concentrate
add 1 ounce of formula.

5,

Replacethe cap and insert andtighten by
turning clockwise.

6.

Replacethe clean/solutiontank back into the
machine.Be sure that the cap is seated in
the receiver.

Carpetcleaning
1.

Makesure the ReadyToolsDialis in the
FLOORCLEANING
position.

2.

Plugthe PROdryinto the properoutlet and
turn the powerON( I ) usingthe switch inthe
back.

With yourfoot, pressthe gray handle release
leverlocated on the back of
the unit. Takecareto noticethe waythe
machinefloats forward.

4,

Whilepressingthe spraytrigger make 1
forward wet pass and another 1 back.
Repeatonce and moveon to the next
sectionof carpet or area rug to be cleaned.
Takecare not to run over loose objectsof
the edgesof area rugs.

Maintenanceand care
Cleaning/replacingthe TLR Power Roller
1.

Turnpower switch to OFF(O) and unplug
the machine.

2,

Removebothtanks, detentthe handle and
turn the machineon its back.

3.

Removethe 6 screws from the sole plate
using a Phillipshead screwdriver,set 6
screws and sole plateaside.

4.

Turnthe machineon its side so the cord side
is againstthe floor.

5.

Removethe 2 screws from the belt guard
and set aside
Note: These2 screws are the sameas the 6
sole platescrews).
Removethe top of the belt guard.

6.

Unhookthe belt from the TLR PowerRoller
and slidethe roller down through the hole
in the belt guard bottom.Slidethe roller up 6.
off the metal dowel (which is attachedto the
swing arm).

7.

Cleanthe TLR PowerRollerby rinsing with
hot water and mild soap.Allow to dry before
replacingif desired.

8.

Toreplace,slidethe TLRPowerRolleron to
the metal dowel with the taller cog at the
top. Pushthe taller cog of the roller back up 8a.
through the hole in the belt guard bottom
and re-attach the belt. Placethe belt guard
top into positionoverthe bottom half and
tighten togetherwith 2 screws.

9.

Turnthe machineon to its back and
attach the secondswing arm. Be sure the
arm is properlyin place both on the TLR
PowerRollerand in the base. Pushthe TLR
PowerRollerdown so it is nestedunderthe
nozzle.

10. Re-attachthe sole plate using the 6 screws.

Machine storage
Put the unit away in a closetor basementfor
the next use. Store cleanerin a protected,dry
area.Since this product useswater, it must not
be storedwhere there is a danger of freezing.
Freezingwill damage internal componentsand
voidthe warranty.
