Conformity Assessment Issues DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY Hereby, The Bittium Wireless ltd. declares the Tough Mobile product is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC. A copy of the Declaration of Conformity can be found at www.bittium.com. FCC NOTICE TO USERS This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health. The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg. The standard incorporates a substantial margin of safety to give additional protection for the public and to account for any variations. The highest SAR value reported under these guidelines when used at the ear is 0.88 W/kg and when correctly worn on the body is 1.36 W/kg.
