USERS MANUAL

Remote Stop – Instruction Manual Introduction The Remote Stop is a safety and training device designed for virtually all motorcycles and ATV’s. The Remote Stop operates with a transmitter and receiver that easily coincides with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) engine shut off switches (kill switches). Installation Locate the vehicle’s OEM engine shut off switch (kill switch). Identify the OEM engine shut off switch lead wires. There are normally 2 wires bound together by an insulator. The wires lead from the switch to the engine. Attach the Remote Stop to the handle bar at a point near the OEM lead wires. Do so by using the Velcro strap attached to the Remote Stop. Expose one of the OEM lead wires, cutting a small slit in the insulator if necessary. (Engine should be off during installation). Splice the ‘blue’ wire of the Remote Stop to the exposed wire of the OEM engine shut off switch. Locate a bolt head or something similar to provide a ‘ground’ point. Attach the ‘green’ ground wired of the Remote Stop to this point. Basic installation is complete. Use of the Remote Stop With the receiver installed, normal use of the vehicle is able. Rider may start the vehicle and operate normally. The parent, or other onlooker, holds the transmitter. The transmitter’s antennae should be fully extended. Should the rider begin to encounter any noticeable danger, simply press and hold the button on the transmitter until the engine stops. Engine should stop almost immediately.
Parts · (1) Remote Stop bag which includes the receiver and battery components. · (1) Remote Stop transmitter. · (4) ‘AA’ batteries, (not included). Cautions and Warnings Rider should operate the vehicle within a 300-foot radius of the transmitter. Visibility of the onlooker may be impaired if any further. Batteries should be checked, as well as the Remote Stop’s functionality prior to riding or driving the vehicle. To do so, start the vehicle, (following the Remote Stop installation), and press the transmitter button to ensure the engine stops. This should be done prior to each time the vehicle is operated while the Remote Stop is installed. Disassembly Once the rider has the ability to operate the vehicle well and with confidence, the Remote Stop can be removed. This is an undetermined period of time. Each rider’s ability is different. Using wire snips cut the blue wire as close to the OEM lead wire as possible. Be careful not to damage the OEM lead wire. Remove the green ground wire from the ground point. Remove the Remote Stop receiver from the handlebar FCC NOTE: THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY RADIO OR TV INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS TO THIS EQUIPMENT.
