STEP4: Mount Humidifier Control Control mustbemounted inthe ReturnDuct.Forproperoperation, the Controlmust be at least 6 inches upstreamof anyof the following: • • • FigureB Humidifier Humidifier BypassDuctwork(ifapplicable) FreshAir Intake Ductwork(if applicable)(see FigureC) Usethe perforated HumidifierControltemplate(attachedto these instructions)to mark the ductopeningand cut it. Use 4 sheetmetalscrews (notprovided) to mountthe Control in the duct openingand makesure Control is sealeddghtJyto duct. STEP5: Determine Location for Outdoor Temperature Sensor TheOutdoor TemperatureSensor: 1. Must be mountedon North,East orWest sideof house out ofdirect sunlight 2. Must be at least 3feet from all exhaust vents 3. Must be above expectedsnow line (Seefigure D) Incorrect hamid_ levels will result if these requirements are not met. STEP6: Locate Existing Access Hole to Outside A convenientway to get the Sensorwire outsideis to make use ofunusedwires runningto the NC condensingunit (if applicable).Otherwaysare to use existingholesfor Cable TVlines,telephonelines,A/C lines, etc. Readall equipmentinstructionsbeforehandfor possibleconflicts andwamings.
