Charge
Connect the tool to AC power and fully charge the battery.
When charging, the battery light is red and becomes green when the battery is fully
charged.
To charge the tool, connect
the AC Power Adapter into the
provided jack on the tool and
110V end into an appropriate
wall outlet. The LED "CHARGE"
light will illuminate.
Function Keys
Power ON /OFF switch
To Test /Activate sensor.
Next, continue or confirm.

Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Sensors. Follow the
on‐screen instructions to complete the task.
Keyfob Test: Test signal strength of vehicle
remote key.
Universal Sensor Programming: Used for
programming
Non‐OEM
programmable
sensors.
Settings: Change tool settings: language, units,
buzzer and tool info.
Change language settings
LANGUAGE: select displayed language among English, Español.

Updates & software
Insert the CD supplied with your tool into a PC drive and click on the 3838TPM icon to start the program. The
software will prepare the setup. Follow the on screen instructions to update your tool or print reports.
Warning
This product emits electromagnetic and electronically generated waves that may interfere with
the safe operation of pacemakers.
Individuals that have pacemakers should never use this product.
Triggering
Warning! For best sensor triggering, hold the tool against the tire sidewall right
above the sensor.
Recycling
Do not dispose of the rechargeable Lithium‐Ion battery or the tool and/or it accessories to the
dustbin.
These components must be collected and recycled.
