professionalinstallationonly.

TheseProgrammableTirePressureMonitoringSystem(”P‐TPMS”)sensorassemblies

arereplacementormaintenancepartsformotorvehiclesthathaveafactory

installedTirePressureMonitoringSystem(”TPMS”)only.Failuretofollowinstallation

instructionsmayresultinthefailureofthemotorvehicleP‐TPMSsensortooperate

properly.Cubdoesnotassumeanyliabilityincaseofthefaultyorincorrect

installationoftheproduct.



CAUTION

EachP‐TPMSsensorisdesignedandmanufacturedtooperateinblankatinitial

statuswhichusingtheproperfrequenciestocommunicatewiththemotorvehicle

TPMsystem.TheoriginalP‐TPMSisblanksoftwareinside,besuretoprogramthe

sensorbyCubGen.3toolforyourspecificmotorvehiclemake,modelandyear

beforeinstallation.OnlyinstallprogrammedP‐TPMSsensorstotheapplicationlisted

inthetool.ImproperTPMSinstallationortheuseofunauthorizedTPMSSensors

causethemotorvehicleTPMSystemtofailtooperateproperly.Donotinstall

programmedP‐TPMSsensorsindamagedwheels.Uponcompletionofinstallation,

testthemotorvehicleTPMSSystemusingproceduresdescribedintheoriginal

manufacturer’sserviceguidetoconfirmproperinstallation.IftheTPMSystemfails

tooperateproperly,checkallinstallationprocedurestoensureproperinstallation

andretest.IftheTPMSSystemcontinuestofailtooperate,immediatelyconsultwith

Cubsupportoranauthorizedmotorvehicledealership.

TheseP‐TPMSsensorassembliesaredesignedandmanufacturedtooperatein

OriginalEquipmentwheelsandtiresonly.IfOriginalEquipmentwheelsand/ortires

arenotused,theTPMsystemandthelowtireinflationwarningthresholdofyour

vehicle’sTPMsystemmaynotfunctionormayfunctioncorrectly.IftheOriginal

Equipmentwheelsand/ortiresarenotsued,itistheresponsibilityofthevehicle

ownertoensurethattheTPMSisworkingcorrectly.RefertotheOriginalEquipment

manufacturer’svehicleserviceguideforinstructionincludingthewarningthreshold

resetprocedureandseektheassistanceofanauthorizedvehicledealershipto

ensuretheTPMsystem,includingsystemcompatibilitywiththenon‐Original

Equipmentwheelsand/ortires,isworkingproperly.Thevehicleownerexpressly

assumessoleandcompleteFailuretoensurethattheTPMSisworkingcorrectlycan

resultinsevereinjuryordeath.



WARRANTY

CubwarrantsthattheP‐TPMSsensorcomplieswithCub’sproductspecificationsand

shallbefreefromdefectsinworkmanshipandmaterialforaperiodoftwelve(12)

monthsafterthesaleofproducttocustomer.Intheeventthatwithintheabove

mentionedwarrantyperiod,Cubconfirmsthataproductisdefective;Cubwill

replacetheproductatnocosttocustomer.Ifitisdeterminedthattheproducthas

beensubjecttoaccident,misuseorabusethiswarrantyandthelimitedobligations

hereunderwillbevoid.THISISTHESOLEANDEXCLUSIVEWARRANTYANDLIABILITY

TOCUSTOMER.CUBEXPRESSLYDISCLAIMSANDOTHERWARRANTYINLUDINGTHE

WARRANTIESOFMERCHANTIABILITY,FITNESSFORPURPOSEOFOTHERIMPLIEDOR

EXPRESSWARRANTIES.UNDERNOCIRCUMSTANCESSHALLCUBBELIABLETO

CUSTOMERFORANIYOTHEAMOUNTSINCLUDINGLABORCHARGESFOR

INSTALLATIONORREINSTALLATIONOFPRODUCTSNORSHALLCUBLIABLEUNDER

ANYTHEORYFORANYOTHERDAMAGESINCLUDINGBUTNOTLIMITEDTODIRECTLY,

INDIRECT,SPECIAL,CONSEQUENTIALANDINCIDENTALDAMAGES.



ItisMANDATORYtoreplacetheP‐TPMSsensorifitisexternallydamaged.



Warning:TheP‐TPMSsensornutmustbeproperlyinstalledandtightenedfor

properinstallation.Carefullyfollowinstructionsanduseatorquewrenchto

2004andlatermustbedrivenforthevehiclerelearnprocess,withnoTPMSscan

toolprocedure(automaticrelearn).

 Forallothervehicles,anelectronicTPMSscantool(alsoknownasatriggeror

relearntool)mustbeusedfortheP‐TPMSsensor’svehiclerelearnprocess.

P‐TPMSsensorsworkwithallmajorTPMSscantoolsincludingCubGen.3tool.

FollowtheOETPMSsensorprocedureonthescantoolforthevehiclerelearn.

 Undercertaincircumstances,theTPMSscantooltriggerbuttonmayneedtobe

pressedmorethanonceorthetoolmayneedtoberesettocompletevehicle

relearnprocess(mayapplytobothP‐TPMSsensormulti‐applicationsensorsand

OEsensors).

 Undercertaincircumstances,theTPMSscantooldisplayduringP‐TPMSsensor’s

triggeringprocessmayshowdifferentinformationversusOEsensors.TPMSscan

toolvehiclerelearnprocessremainsunchanged.

 EachP‐TPMSsensorhasauniqueID#.TheID#canbeobtainedafter

programmingtheblanksensorbyCubGen.3tool.Duetothelargevarietyof

differentvehiclerequirementandtheTPMSscantoolused,thesensorID#on

theTPMSscantooldisplaymaybeinhexadecimalordecimalformatandmaybe

equaltoorfewerthan10‐digit.ThesedifferencesmayresultinanID#onthe

TPMSscantooldisplayduringtriggeringthatappearstonotcoincidewiththe

ID#whichreadonGen.3tool.Thehexadecimalordecimalformatcanbe

transformedbysettingtheCubGen.3tool.Aftertransformingtheformat,

reprogramtheP‐TPMSsensor.BesuretoconfirmtheID#afterthe

reprogramming.

 DuetodifferingTPMSprotocolscalingfactors,tirepressuredisplayedon

electronicTPMSscantoolmaynotbeaccurate(mayapplytobothP‐TPMS

sensorsandOEsensors).Besuretoconfirmtirepressurewithtirepressure

gauge.

 P‐TPMSsensor’smaximumpotentialpressurereadingisapproximately130psi.

P‐TPMSsensorsarenotintendedforhighpressurevehicleapplications.

 P‐TPMSsensorstransmittirepressureandtemperaturedataregularlywhilethe

vehicleisinmotionaboveapredeterminedvehiclespeedthreshold(approx.

15mph(25kph)),oratthetimeoftriggeringbyanelectronicTPMSscantool.


