The WiDi  TV adapter LED is red when it powers up. Then the LED turns yellow to indicate it is ready, but is not yet connected to your computer.Step 3Power on your TV and select the correct TV input source. Please refer to your TV documentation for instructions on how to change your input source. Step 4The Startup screen displays on your TV within 30 seconds. If this screen does not appear, make sure your TV is set to the correct video input and all the cables are rmly secured.Step 5Launch the Intel® Wireless Display software on your laptop. Some laptops may have a button or key, or launch from Windows. Click Start, type Intel® Wireless Display in the search eld and then run the Intel® Wireless Display software.Step 6Use the Intel® Wireless Display software to scan and nd the TV adapter for Intel® WiDi . The screen below shows that the Intel® Wireless Display software has found the wireless adapter.Step 7Double-click the TV adapter for Intel® WiDi  TV adapter listed under Detected Adapters to connect to it. The LED on the TV adapter will start ashing green.If you are connecting the laptop to the WiDi TV adapter for the rst time, it will display a 4-digit security code on the TV. Enter this 4-digit security code into the Intel® Wireless Display software.Step 8The TV screen will display your laptop screen and the LED on the WiDi TV adapter will turn solid green. Clearing the adapter memory requires you to enter the security code displayed on the TV in order to connect again.Can I Close the Laptop Lid and Still Use Intel Wireless Display?Closing the lid of the laptop may put the system to sleep or turn it off, and as a result, end the Intel Wireless Display session. To close the lid and continue using the application:1. Click the Windows Start icon and type Closing the lid in the search field.2. Click the Change what closing the lid does link.3. This is the IP (Internet Protocol) address.• Adapter ID. A preset and unchangeable number set by the adapter.• Adapter Model. This is the model name of the adapter currently connected.• Adapter firmware version. The version of the application. If a Web update is required, click the Update   Available button.• Register. Register your adapter to obtain support and get the latest software updates.How do I Change the Adapter Display LanguageTo change the adapter display language, use the recessed button while the adapter is on the ready screen shown.• A short press (less than half a second) will step forward through the languages.• A long press (more than half but less than one and a half seconds) will step backward through the languages.The language change will immediately be reflected on your TV screen.How do I Update the Firmware?If the firmware needs updating, there will be an Update available button on the Adapter Properties page. (The Properties button is only available if you are currently connected to an adapter.) Click the Update available button to begin the update process. Once the update begins the TV screen will read Updating adapter. Please wait. After the procedure is complete, the adapter automatically disconnects from the laptop. Scan again to connect to the adapter.Warning: Pressing the button for more than 5 seconds will clear the security profiles saved in the adapter, which will require you to repeat the first-time connection procedure.
