1.INTRODUCTIONOn/OffReceiverModuleOn/OffReceiverModuleModelMR-318Screwsand AccessoriesThank you for your purchase of a Skylink lighting receiver, On/OffReceiver Module Model MR-318. This On/Off Receiver Module allows youto wirelessly turn on and off different lighting fixtures with the Skylinklighting transmitters.The On/Off Receiver Module MR-318 can communicate with up to 8transmitters, so user has the option to add more transmitters to the system,such as more remote controls, or motion sensors etc.All wireless signal communications within the Skylink lighting systemare based on rolling code technology to ensure highest security is used.Screws and AccessoriesInstallation is required and enclosed instructions must be followed carefullyto all steps and notes. If you are uncertain or uncomfortable performing thisinstallation, please consult a qualified electrician. Turn off power to the circuit at the circuit breaker of the lighting fixturethat you plan on installing the On/Off Receiver Module to. Remove thelighting fixture so the Live and Neutral wires are exposed.WARNING:Failuretoturnoffpoweratthecircuitbreakercanresultinelectricalshockcausingsevereorfatalinjury.Note:LightingLoadTheOn/OffReceiverModuleisdesignedtooperatemaximumloadof900Wat120VAC.Donotconnectloadingthatexceedsthismaximumrating.2.FollowthediagramsbelowtoinstalltheOn/OffReceiverModulewiththe3wires:Neutral,LiveandLoad.UsetheprovidedscrewstosecuretheOn/OffReceiverModule.3. Afterallthewiresareconnected,ensurethatallofthewireconnectorsareattachedsecurelyandthereshouldbenoexposedcopperwiring.Straightentheantenna.4.SecuretheMR-318toaflatsurfaceby2screwsoryoumayplaceitinsidethelightingfixture.Installthelightingfixturebacktotheoriginalconfiguration.5. Turnthecircuitbreakerbackonandturnonthewallswitchthatisusedtooperatethislightingfixture.6. Thelightwillbeonandyoushouldhearasinglebeep. TheOn/OffReceiverModuleisinstalledproperlyandyoucanbeginprogrammingtransmitterstotheOn/OffReceiverModule.3.PROGRAMMINGTRANSMITTERSIn order to operate the On/Off Receiver Module remotely with a transmitter,it must be programmed to the On/Off Receiver Module. Each On/OffReceiver Module can be operated by up to 16 different transmitters (or16 different command signals).To program a transmitter into the On/Off Receiver Module, follow theinstructions below.1. The On/Off Receiver Module should be power offinitially. This can be done by switching off the wallswitch or circuit breaker of the lighting fixture.2. Power on the On/Off Receiver Module by switchingon the wall switch . You will hearbeeping from the On/Off Receiver Module and thelight connected to the module should be on.The beeping indicates the On/Off Receiver Moduleis now in programming mode and it will stay in thismode for 20 seconds.3. Press the PROG button on the back of thetransmitter with a sharp object.4. Press the button on the transmitter that you wouldlike to program into the On/Off Receiver Module.5. Once the transmitter is programmed, the light willbe off, indicating you have successfully programmedthe transmitter to the On/Off Receiver Module.6. You may operate the light with the programmedtransmitter.You may follow the same instructions to program additional transmittersor sensors to operate the On/Off Receiver Module.or circuit breakerNote: To program other transmitters/sensors (besides TC transmitter),please refer to the instructions of the transmitters/sensors.4.ON/OFFOPERATIONTheMR-318On/OffReceiverModuleallowson/offoperation,whentheprogrammedbuttonisactivate,itwilltransmitasignaltotoggleitscurrentstatus.Forexample,ifasignalisreceivedwhenthelightisoff,thatsignalwillturnonthelight.Note:IftheOn/OffReceiverModuleisinstalledon aceilinglightingfixture,youcanusethetransmittertooperatethelightremotelyonlyifthewallswitchisintheONposition.Ifthewallswitchis off,nopowerisprovidedtotheOn/OffReceiverModuleandtherefore,itcannotoperatethelight.Incasethetransmitterismisplaced,youcan stilloperatethelightingfixturewiththewallswitchnormally.Note:WhenusedwithCompactFluorescentLight,ifthereisflickeringwhen youswitchoffthelight,itisrecommendedyoureplaceadifferent CompactFluorescentLightwithhigherquality.On/OffOperation-OriginalWallSwitchPowerOn-LightOnThereisafunction"PowerOn-LightOn"built-intothereceivermodule.Thismeanswhenthepowersupplytothereceivermodulechangefromofftoon,thiswillturnthelighton. Thisfunctionallowsyoutooperatethelightwithoriginalwallswitch.Whenthewallswitchisintheoffposition,switchingitonwillturnonthelight.Oncetheswitchison,youmayusetheremotecontroltooperatethelight.Ifthewallswitchisswitchedfromontooff,thelightwillbeoff. Atthesametime,theremotecontrolcannotoperatethelightcausethereisnopowersuppliedtothereceivermodule.AfterInstallation

ERASINGTCTRANSMITTERSFROMTHEON/OFFRECEIVERMODULEYoumayerasea TCtransmitterfromtheOn/OffReceiverModule,butyoucannoteraseaspecificdevice,youmusteraseallthewirelessdevices,then programtheonesyouwanttokeep.Followtheinstructionsbelowtoeraseprogrammed TCtransmitters.1.Poweroffthelightingreceiver.(Switchoffthewallswitch)2.PressthePROGbuttononthebackofthe TCtransmitter.3.Pressandholdtheprogrammedbuttononthe TCtransmitterforatleast2seconds.Donotreleasethisbuttonuntilstep5.4.Powerupthelightingreceiver ,youwillhearbeepingandthelightwillbeon.5. Youmayreleasethebuttononthetransmitter.6.Whenthebuttonisrelease,thelightattachedtotheOn/OffReceiverModuleshouldbeoff,indicatingyouhavesuccessfullyerasedallthedevicesfromthelightingreceiver.Toeraseothertransmittersorsensors,pleaserefertotheinstructionsofthetransmitters/sensors.(Switchoffthewallswitch)InputVoltage:120VAC,60HzMaximumLoad:600Wat120AVCOperatingFrequency:318MHzWiring:Neutral,Live,Load(18 AWG)7. Therefore,thereisanoptionnottoturnthelightsonwhenpowerissuppliedtothereceivermodule. Thewaytodisablethisfeatureistore-programatransmitter(button)thatisalreadyprogrammedtothereceivermodule(i.e.programatransmittertwice). Thiswilldisablethisfeature.
