USING WIRELESS MODULE
FCC ID: OPA-WIBRID-108
IC: 3448A-WIBRID108
RF EXPOSURE COMPLIANCE
Products that include the Carlson Wireless RF module described above, when
incorporating the use of the 20 dBi panel antenna certified for use with this module, shall
include the following statements in a prominent location in the installation/user manual:
RF Exposure Information
To meet the FCC and Industry Canada limits for human exposure to radio frequency
fields, the antenna must be installed so that a minimum separation distance of 55cm
between persons and antenna shall be maintained at all times during radio operation.
NOTE TO INSTALLER
In the 5.725-5.850 MHz unlicensed band, for point-to-multipoint operations, power to
the 20dBi flat panel antenna must be reduced so that the maximum eirp is 36 dBm or
less. For exclusive point-to-point operation, no reduction in maximum allowed output
power (25.8 dBm) is required.
For products used in the 4.9 GHz Public Safety band, depending on license type and
operations, power may need to be reduced to limit eirp and power spectral density, for
operations that are not point-to-point or point-to-multipoint.
